Do you think that Suisman would have hit that 56 yarder last week?. I Don't.
I'd much rather Cundiff hit a 34 yarder that actually meant something that a 56 yarder that didn't.

no, but the 56 yd fg really had no impact on the outcome of that game either

you just cant miss 33 yd fg's in perfect conditions with huge games on the line

I agree, but the fact is it does happen from time to time. Even to the best of them (not that Cundiff is the best of them).

I'm not writing him off yet. He obviously just started practicing with the team again so he's not in any kind of rythm. Kicking is like freethrows. The better rythm you're in, the better chance you make the shot.

I wonder how many times this coming week in practice he's going to kick from the 24 yard line.

Cundiff makes me mad, but he's usually very accurate inside 40 yards, yesterday was unnatural for him, but still, just a case in point on how unreliable Cundiff is

he's always been the same...you can go post some numbers to support the argument, but if you go back and LOOK at alot of the kicks he makes, there are alot of them barely getting through...thats inconsistency

he cant hit them solid more often than not

I am so sick of Billy, that I hope he misses some more easy kicks when the game is in hand and doesn't cost us, just so we get his inconsistent butt back out of here for good.

He will lose more games than he will win.

I'd rather have a kicker who is deadly accurate inside of 40 yards, but lacks distance, than a kicker who is inconsistent everywhere.

Those types of kickers do exist, but apparently we aren't looking for them.

supposedly he wasn't consistent in practice. and he wasn't really tested during the games he did play. but enough about second tier kickers. next year we need to find a true nfl caliber kicker. after all if it wasn't for viniateri the patriots wouldn't have won not one super bowl.

Well, what's a makeable kick? Historically, Cundiff is pretty accurate within 40 yards. He tends to struggle beyond that, however.
