I agree its kind of annoying cause if you think about it teams are gonna play to whatever advantage they get.

If they realize they can hold without being punished, why not hold till you are? Conversely if you are called for holding now you gotta change things up and that can lead to more pressures/sacks/less running lanes. It makes a difference when one team is called for holding, kills a drive or extends the opposing sides drive.

To say things like this dont effect the game are just macho brain dead comments. This doesnt just effect us either, its annoying to see it happen to other teams as well, absolutely boring to watch Mahomes go for a scramble and you see all the defenders blatantly being held so he gets that running lane, then some ticky tack hold is called on the other team.
I would love for someone who is good at it to put together a montages of Micah being blatantly held in every game this season. I have seen pics every week, but to see 30-40 pics in one space like the one that was shown of him being held by 2 Dolphins would be a powerful message.

I don't know about you guys but if I have to watch Micah being held so blatantly I'm about ready to stop watching football.

The officiating is so inconsistent it is taking arguably our most impactful player and completely neutering him by letting him be held on every play.

Conversely on the other side of the ball if Tyler Smith grabs anybody in the center of their chest for a half a second and let's go he's called for holding while we continue to have to watch Micah in a chokehold for half the game.
It's bad enough we have stupid players that commit stupid legitimate penalties and it can't be gotten under control by our coach.

But watching our generational talent most impactful player be neutered by inconsistent officiating or flat out prejudice against our team is becoming more than I can bear.

Jerry needs to take all the facts and the tape to the league office and get this straightened out because there is no way we can ever win a championship with things being officiated this way and I'm not crying and whining about the officiating I'm just stating facts.

Check this article out. It's actually an interesting take. It says who's the blame (you) for poor officiating:

You are the problem

The Chiefs have Chris Jones. They've drawn 10 holding calls.
The Niners have Nick Bosa. They've drawn 11 holding calls.
The Cowboys have Micah. They've drawn 13 holding calls.
The Browns have Miles Garrett. They've drawn 14 holding calls.

Elite rushers are not getting calls, for whatever reason. They all think they're being held and they're right.

But...but...The Refs.
*sniff*
It's not about crying concerning the refs, it's about being consistent when making calls. Micah is being strangled on several plays and it is being overlooked. Catch and release is one thing, catch and strangle is another.

I just want to see some consistency when it comes to holding, PI's, etc. The refs are all over the dang place.

Exactly brother it changes from game to game from one officiating group to another from player to player.

There just is nothing you can hang your hat on there is no standard it's just however it's going to be with that group that day and it really needs to get fixed

I watch a lot more games than just the Cowboys. I'm a big NFL fan but these refs are ruining the game. There are too many calls and they also throw too many flags and than discuss and decide no penalty. The officiating to me is at an all time low when the refs are controlling the game.

I agree completely.

Refs consciously or subconsciously make bad calls against our team, and consciously or sub consciously ignore bad calls other teams make against our team AND we also make a lot of dumb penalties.

I don't understand why the owners agree to live with this and don't strive to put a better product on the field by way of more consistent officiating.

In all reality it's just a measure in quality control and on a product that's making this much money it is unbelievable to me in an age where there's unprecedented technology that they can't do a more consistent job.

In my opinion the officials should be full-time employees and should be trained to a standard and if they don't meet the standard they don't make the field.

There should be no difference between the way one group officiates compared to another they should all be held to the same standard or fired

You’re right about Tyler. He gets a holding call in almost every game. I think if we had more pass rushers Micah might get the benefit of the doubt. He’s the only one however that can really do anything on the Dline.
I think that Tyler has some issues when it moves from a pass block to run. He locks on to guys, perfectly legal as they are going to the passer and you are in front of them -- but when they start moving to the side to deal with a runner or a QB out of the pocket, that gets called.

This is a communication issue -- hard for the OL to know what is going on when you are running zone options and the QB is scrambling.

That's just about learning to play inside. We get spoiled having Zack here -- I've never seen a guy moving to G come in as dominant as he was as a rookie. Unreal.

It's impossible to believe there hasn't been a holding call in 10 games.

A game or two here or there I can accept. But 10 straight games???

It's absolutely ridiculous how much Parsons gets held, and nothing is done about it. What's he supposed to do to get a call? It's like teams know they can hold him and get away with it, so, they do it.

Because it puts money in their pockets, that's the real Super Bowl. The SB game is for us peasant fans and players. The real Super Bowl is the Forbes magazine listings for the owners.

I think it's both, team isn't good enough but there are some incredibly blatant missed calls...how can micah have 10 games without a holding call?

Exactly, and Jerry probably has learned not to say much about it publicly after what transpired years ago. Just accept the financial SB that he has annually, and be quiet is probably what Goodell told him.

Teams have realized they can get away with holding. If they aren’t going to get called for it then when they are going to get beat (which is a lot) then they are going to hold. Some every week show them grabbing him around the neck. And it’s while they are beaten and he is right there at the qb. So you know the refs have to see it. But he gets called for hands to the face. He gets frustrated and I don’t blame him. He got called for roughing this week. Was ticky tack. Even commentators say he gets 2 steps and hit him after 1. But I think fins got called for a ticky tack one also.

Show it up vocally during games with crowd reactions at AT&T Stadium and see if the NFL President is able to ignore that. Not compliance of rules in sports can be the same as rigging the gambling industry!!

Anyone could take them into federal court with the data and films of games...any lawyers here want to get rich?
