Jimmy's downfall will be that he was a short timer.Jimmy Johnson should absolutely be in the HOF.
I'd be thrilled if Woody made it.
AMEN.Wish the Cowboys had a safety like Woodson on their current roster.
they've never come close to having a Safety like Woody since he retiredWish the Cowboys had a safety like Woodson on their current roster.
Won 2 Super Bowls and 80% of his roster won a 3rd one.Jimmy's downfall will be that he was a short timer.

Dang right. I think Woodson is long over due. Woody is my all time favorite safety for the Cowboys. The man could play FS, FS, CB, slot CB and all three LBs postions. The man was a stud every time he stepped onto the field.
Vote for Woodson.
Woody should have been in before both of them...The fact that Lynch gets in before Woodson is so ridiculous and complete bs...Their stats are very similar ...Woodson has more Superbowls..and he was a large piece of all three...He revolutionized the position by being able to cover the slot...play lb, bone crushing hitter....Lynch couldn't do all that...You know seeing the Cowboy’s safety dilemma all these years will probably give him a boost. Few years ago I wouldn’t have put Woodson in there but after Dawkins got in and Lynch probably about to get in. Woodson should be a lock imo.

Fans may want it, but he won't get credit for the 3rd one, And, like it or not, the HOF likes to see success over time. Only players that get injured and can't play on get consideration as short timers.Won 2 Super Bowls and 80% of his roster won a 3rd one.
Turned NFL draft on its head.
Took dumpster fire of a franchise and dominated the 90s.
No way Jerry Jones should be in there and Jimmy should not.
I think the difference is Madden was successful his entire career and had a 103-32 record, and Jimmy had the shorter, but brilliant stretch with Dallas, and ended with an 80-64 record. Of course, Madden inherited a team in better shape than Jimmy did, but the success over the length of a career will play a big part in how voters perceive the two.Exactly, I thought Madden getting in was going to help with that but so far no good. Maybe if Jimmy coached one more year.
Woodsen strikes me as a regional great, not an Hall of Fame kinda guy.
