JPP wasn't even close to 100%.

A 70 to 75 percent JPP is better than 90 percent of the ends/outside linebackers Tyron Smith is going to face this season. Smith had a heck of a game.

Well, Ware at the end of 2012 was injured and playing anyway. It was before any surgery and he was just trying to get through the season so he could have it fixed.

JPP has had his surgery (like Spencer has) and the team will typically hold you out until, 1) there is no chance of further damage, and 2) the player is healthy enough to compete.

Maybe JPP wasn't 100%, but the team wouldn't let him get out there if he wasn't relatively close to it.

JPP's situation reminds me of Haley's. Back issues that everybody thought rest and rehab would fix but he just never did get back to what he was before. I could see that with JPP as well. They are similar body types. Like you say, to early to tell but it's been more then one game now. This goes back into 2011. He's had some issues.

No joke...JPP isn't likely to ever likely get back to 100% football shape, maybe 95% if lucky. Whereas Smith should only continue to improve absent a significant injury/setback (such as Spinal Surgery).

It actually looked like a professional O-line even though it was shuffled again this offseason. I think it shows how important a summer of practice is, something they didn't get last year at all.

Smith will be and ALL-PRO one day and a model LT for all the young tackles coming in to learn from.

I read where JG stated that they may move Berny to the left side in place of Leary, not sure I would do this after reading how well they worked together in this article, but I am not the HC.

I can't see moving Leary out of there...he played pretty well while conversely, Berny was average to poor at times....I can't remember exactly where it was in the game, but I remember one play where the Giant defender bull rushed Leary and he just stood his ground and stood him up...made me very happy
