Fairly certain the international side of the ban is 9 competitive games ie friendlies don't count. Could be wrong though

that would certainly make it more harsh but again really not that big a deal given the biggest international event is held only every 4 years anyways.

Well, they play the "Copa America" next year, he won´t be able to play it. Although it obviously isn´t as big as the world cup, it´s the second biggest international soccer tournament for Uruguay.

plus if they lose to colombia and go out early in the copa america then his suspension would then carry over to world cup qualifiers.

Uruguay is the defending champ and will play at the minimum 3 pool games.
they also play at least one more game this WC.

very little chance Suarez misses any Confed Cup(assuming Uruguay qualifies again) or WCQ action.
 
i doubt they count friendlies, But, there is 2 copa americas happening before the next world cup. The regular one next year, and the "centennial" to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the tournament in 2016, that one is being held in the USA. I'm not sure when qualifying starts for CONMEBOL, but its very likely that Uruguay will at the very least get out of the group stages in both those tournaments, and therefore play at least 4 games at each tournament. so his suspension should come to an end by the time qualifying really ramps up.
 
this guy has bitten someone three times. should be a lifetime ban unless he's willing to get his teeth pulled and replaced with dentures. And in games, he's toothless.
 
The only good news is that Suarez wont be playing today vs Colombia. I dont think this team is good enough, but im supporting colombia to win this world cup. Suarez not playing today makes todays game much easier

Lol that was such a sloppy attempted clear out by chile and horrible attempt by the goalie to punch the ball out and missed lol. Sheer luck BRA didnt score there
 
This is far from the best Brazil team I have seen but they have to be one of the most fun to watch
 
Hand ball on hulk, no goal and he gets a yellow card. I saw more obvious calls not called in this world cup.
 
If Brazil end up winning the cup it's gonna be all Neymar cause this team is far from the best in this tournament
