Anyone watching the World Cup qualfiers?

Amazing 4 days for Ireland. Beat Portugal, including Ronaldo 2-0 on Thursday. Then yesterday scoring in injury time to beat Hungary 3-2. Same player - Troy Parrott scoring all 5 goals in both matches.

Scotland have made it! I don’t believe it! I’m in shock!

First time since ‘98!!!

I’m stunned.

Yesterday I was exactly 37 and a half years old.

The last time the #Scotland men’s national football team played in a #WorldCup, I had turned 10 the month before. My youngest sibling hadn’t been born yet.

Hugely emotional. My late wee maw, who hated football but was deeply patriotic, would be absolutely ecstatic, and her dad - my grandpa, my childhood hero, with whom I watched most of that ‘98 World Cup - would have to be sedated.

It was both of their birthdays over the weekend. I love God’s timing sometimes…
