Worried about CB

Out of all the positions needed I think CB is the most needed and just looking at how the players are ranked it would appear to be tough to find a starting caliber CB.

Hargreaves III is not likely to be the best player on the board at pick 4 and it is doubtful a CB will be the BPA when our 2nd round pick rolls around either. Looking at the 3rd rd most likely all of the starting caliber CB's will be gone but there will be starting caliber players at other positions still available.

I just get a feeling it is going to be hard to come out of the draft with a starting caliber CB. I hope we can get at least one in FA.

This is a very deep draft class in regards to CB. You should be able to find starters in the 2nd and even 3rd round. They may not be amazing, especially at first as CBs typically take 2-3 years to get used to the NFL, but you should be able to land decent guys in that range.

That being said, I'm guessing that's a position that will be addressed in FA.

I dont think Dallas needs to push CB. they need to get pressure, you can have Deion, Norman Pterson and sherman back there but if you cant pressure the QB it doesnt make a difference they'll get open.

Dallas i think Found a nice depth guy in Olotaye and Mitchell both. They played good in the 2 games they played. Olotaye IMO just needs experience. they threw him in the fire and he came out ok. Think a mid tiere guy like Jeremy lane could be a nice pickup. I think they will offer Carr a chance to come back with a vet min base or be released. Carr doesnt seem like the type of guy who will blow them off. He's a high character guy. And has to know his options are limited. Then Scandrick is back, thats ur LCB. Olotaye, Lane and Carr IMO would be battling for RCB

We are a zone/off man coverage team and CB is your biggest concern? If our front 4 can't create pressure and get sacks our CB's are irrelevant. Figuring out how to do that should be priority #1.

Give me a few physical CB's, with good size, who can reroute WR's at the line and play assignment football.

Trumaine Johnson (Rams) or Casey Heyward (Packers) in free agency...

Jalen Ramsey (Florida State), William Jackson (Houston), or maybe Deiondre Hall (Northern Iowa) in the draft.

I also wouldn't be opposed to keeping Byron Jones at CB IF they go out and get a true FS.

This is why I so desperately want a big 1 tech that can create opportunities for guys like DLaw TCraw Randy Gregory and even Hardy if we bring him back.

Andrew Billings is only 19 years old!!! The kid isn't done growing yet and he's a monster. I'm hoping we consider him.

Except that Carr held out in TC last year.

I agree CB is a huge concern but I like the idea of signing one or two in fa more than drafting one high
Maybe middle of the draft but as big as the need is the answer to me is sign one or two and draft one later in the draft

We gotta get pressure on the QB so CB isn't a high priority for me unless a steal falls in our lap.

Don't forget that we get Scandrick back.

I also am leaning towards FA to fill the CB concerns. Unfortunately, it will be expensive.

Yeah we get Scandrick back but we are probably losing 2 CB's. You really need 3 starters.

This is the key

Physical CBs who are smart and can play assignment football

no he didnt. He was getting over hand surgery to start camp. Im going to report you for posting straight up lies lol. He had no reason to hold out even if you tried to believe he did. the yr before he was absent because his mom died.

Would rather fix through free agency. you can find nickle corners in the mid and later rounds. can find depth guys in late rounds and UDFA.

Did he not refuse to show up for TC because the Cowboys wanted to cut his pay?
