This is a classic error of logic called "false equivalence." What empirical evidence do you have that the Cowboys are on pace to peak? We aren't the 2007 Giants and we aren't the 2008 Steelers. The better comparison is to the 2008 Cowboys and we all know how that turned out.
How do YOU know we aren't those teams? You can't have evidence of something that hasn't happened.

Cripes, it's like some of you people think you can only win the Super Bowl by beating every team by 50 points.

I think the point here is that this is a weak 7-3 team that many would consider frauds. Their victory against the skins was a pathetic performance and this is after they folded against the packers.

If I based the game purely on how our offense performed I could agree that yesterday was a pathetic performance. I see it as a game against a divisional opponent, who always plays us tough, in which our defense was able to hold the skins to 6 points and our offense was able to score 7.

You can talk about "what ifs" all you want but the facts are that our team did enough to get a win within the division. They weren't perfect but all I ask is that we are the better than the team we take the field against on any given game day. I'll take "looking pathetic" and winning over looking good and losing any day.

We have work to do but we also have a guaranteed 6 games to keep improving. The team has talked all year about how style points don't matter and if they get better each week, the record will take care of itself. To this point we have done enough to have the division lead, if we continue to improve there is no reason to believe that we wont get where we want to be when week 17 is over.

This post was nonsensical.

If only other teams had our problems and defense, and qb, and RB's and TE's and what was it again,

I hope we're the worst playoff team ever and the worst Super Bowl champion ever this season as well.

Right now I'd put the 87 Redstinks at the top of that list.

Yep. We could go 2-4 and finish 9-7.

We could also go 1-5 and finish 8-8.

We could go 0-6 and finish 7-9.

We could go 6-0 and finish 13-3.

We could go 5-1 and finish 12-4.

We could go 4-2 and finish 11-5.

We could go 3-3 and finish 10-6.

or we could finish 7-3-6

We will get there by tying every game the remainder of the season 0-0. Our defense will hold every opponent to 150 yds or less of total offense and get 5-10 sacks per game. Offensively, we wont complete a single pas to another WR.

Anything can happen. You believe they are the worst, I think they have huge potential and will finish strong.

I still believe playoffs and 10-6. Cowboys need to split with the giants, and sweep the egals. The egal game @ home for the Cowboys I see as critical.

Your post is a classic error in reading.

I'll say 3 and 3 for 10-6. I think we beat SD, NY, and Oakland, lose in Washington and Philly, come up short against New Orleans.

Is there any question that our Dallas Cowboys are the worst 7 and 3 team in the NFL? Would any one be surprised if this team goes 2-4 the rest of the way ends up at 9-7 and does not make the playoffs? For those who dislike Wade, that would put a fork in his Dallas career.
Let's see. We can definitely lose at NY, at Washington, at N.O. and at home to San Diego and if we beat Oakland and Philly, you have a 9-7 season.

Am I missing something here?
Yes, by the sound of it, yes.

Yeah. You got me there.

Never considered the ties.

Do you think this team is improving?
I think we are going backwards. Two games, two first half shut outs and a measley 14 points.
Where is the improvement???

Just from the title I knew you had under 100 posts. Think before you speak next time.

This is a strawman argument of your own pick and choosing. I never said Dallas would peak, I said I hope they would with similar results as the last two Champions.

Fine, but there is no reason to try to find some commonality between us and the last two SB champions. None. We are most like ourselves last year. We are just as much on pace to blow the division and miss the playoffs as anything else right now.

I just watched Pitt lose to KC and Cinncinnati lose to Oak, so you know what?, I'm very happy to be 7-3 right now.
