Who would you go with if these 17 players were off the board less than 10 days from now?

1. Luke Joeckel
2. Eric Fisher
3. Lane Johnson
4. D.J. Fluker
5. Jonathan Cooper
6. Chance Warmack
7. Tavon Austin
8. Star Lotulelei
9. Sharrif Floyd
10. Sheldon Richardson
11. Kenny Vaccaro
12. Dion Jordan
13. Barkevious Mingo
14. Ziggy Ansah
15. Dee Milliner
16. Geno Smith
17. Sylvester Williams

I think I would try to trade down, but Cyprien and Watson would be options.

Cyprien, Patterson, or Carradine... and be happy with any of them.

Probably lean towards Cyprien though, he looks like a stud and there's a huge need at S.

That has to be a trade down. And I mean way down.
At that point, what you could get at 18 would not be much different than what you could get (value-wise) in the late 20s or even at SF's 31st pick.

This would not at all be getting cute, it would just be smart.

From what is left, you nearly could get two for the price of one.

I would tend to agree. Who would be the guys teams would try to trade up for?

I could see Ogletree because of the need that NYG, CHI and MIN have at ILB.

Maybe a Bjorn Werner?

Yes.

Trade up targets would be Xavier Rhodes, Jarvis Jones, Patterson, Ogeltree, Werner, Tyler Eifert

Plenty of good targets that we may have less interest in.

I would stay out and go BPA, history isn't in our favôr trading back. Flashback ôf 2009. And yes I think it could get that bad allowing somrone to wheel and deal.

In such a deep draft I would trade BACK and fall back on another player to acquire more depth.

Matt Elam could potentially be a trade back option depending on how far we trade back.

I would take an additonal 2nd or 3rd rounder and fall back a few spots back then grab a player who was not our main target.

Sometimes you can't trade out of your pick unless you're ok with getting the short end of a deal.

The OP was asking who you would take if we couldn't move down.

Since the OP did not say we could not trade down.

Some possible trade scenarios.

My guess would be that maybe the Falcons trade up to get Xavier Rhodes or even possibly Eifert.

Maybe Minny trades up to get Manti or Brown if they are afraid that Chicago or Giants might take him.

Maybe the Pats or Minny Trade up to take WR Patterson.

49ers might trade up for Eifert or a Defensive player.

Ravens might trade up for Manti or Xavier.

There are some different scenarios where someone might trade up for some of those players.

Now if Dallas stays put I think they will take one of the following players.

Patterson

Hopkins

Reid - Keep hearing they like him and independent of that I hear some on NFLN saying that some are seeing him climb up into the first.

J. Cyprien

One of the FSU DE Tank or Bjorn

Jessie Williams - Keep in mind that most see him as a 1 tech however while Broaddus was at Alabama proday he talked to cowboys scouts there (including Tom C) and said they believe that Williams can play both 1 and 3.

Remote Possibility...IOW I doubt it...

Datone Jones
M. Watson
M. Elam

I doubt this happens as I don't think they brought these guys in for a look and don't know if they talked with them at Combine or pro days although that does not always matter but usually does.

If we took Reid without trading down I would not be a happy camper.

I think all the Safeties in this year's class has a weakness or two that makes me not want to take any of them at 18.

The more I think about the draft the more likely Jessie Williams seems to me. I really do see this worst case scenario playing out for us.

I like him too.

If i couldnt trade back T. Austin .
No question .
BPA
He's long gone in this scenario. Not an option.

Take the best DE: Tank, Werner or D. Jones. Right now I'm beginning to think the best player of all might be D. Jones. I think he'll be the best pro. I only wish we could get him in a trade back to #25 or so and pick up a 3rd rounder.

Would be extremely disappointed if we took a WR in the 1st, makes absolutely no sense and would be in the exact same position as last year maybe worse.

We probably shouldn't even draft a WR with our needs this year, even with the late rounds. We need 2 Safeties, at least 2 OL if not 3, a big DT, a backup RB that can stay healthy, a DE since Spencer is on a one year contract, a blocking TE, and then maybe a 3rd WR.

If you can't trade down and are committed to BPA, then you might have to take Cordarrelle Patterson. His upside is as high as any player in this draft, IMO.

He scares me a lot. His upside is huge, but he is a big risk. I think I would rather take Allen.
