Worst off season move so far?

letting Glover walk
Glover outplayed Ferguson last year. Letting him go will come back to haunt us. To me it will have the same effect as when we lost Woodson for the season. He was the glue that held the DL together. No way Fergy & Pepper Johnson can replace what he brought to the table.

Ricky Williams WAS one of the best players in the league, and his first year in miami, he played out of his mind....he's also been suspended by the league, and has a substance abuse problem - neither of which applies to TO.

Maybe think about re-opening that flimsy case.....

No need to, Owens will very likely open it for me before too long. He always has.

The point is that just because a guy is talented it doesn't mean he is a good player to sign. Owens has proven that regardless of his talent he is not a good player to have on your team.

So tell me good ol Thumper, you're not willing to sell your soul to the devil?;)
Most of us here, including BP and JJ already resign ourselves to do so. I feel like the character in the movie Blow. One last run and I retire.

Out of curiousity, were you for or against the Keyshawn signing?

Not signing a young stud OL......
This is the year Gurode proves all the naysayers wrong. There's your young stud OL. Don't forget we get Flo back.

Completely different situation, obviously. Because....well....just because.....

allowing Parcells to watch spring training baseball while TO was at VR....That my friends was just terrible.:lmao2:

Letting Allen go was the right thing to do. He was no where close to the player we all remember. A mobile Kosier, who can get in the way of a few people and slow them down, will be an upgrade over Allen:star:
yeah hes mobile but does he have allens nasty streak and allens ablitly to just man handle people like they are rag dolls?

Hmm, isn't Ricky Williams one of the best players in the league too? I rest my case.

well actually no, he isnt...he was ok for a couple of years but he was never an elite player IMO

Releasing Glover was the biggest mistake. #2 had to be missing out on the decent FS's that were available in FA.

There's really no perfect time to dump pro bowl caliber players, but the salary cap forces the decisions. Is LA better than Kosier right now? Probably, but maybe not by that much, not enough to justify the money for sure. You might lose some in some areas and pick up in mobility. But just in case I want a 2nd round draft pick that can fill the breach if Kosier is not what we hope he is.

Glover is still a great player- just not a great NT. I think BP is more worried about that loss than any other though because Ferguson was very average last year and Pepper Johnson is not the picture of a pro NT. The problem is the candidates for NT in this draft are thin and other than Ngata all flawed. We need to get a bit lucky on that one IMO and pick up a diamond in the rough.

And Keyshawn? Another winning player that although slow of foot will show he still has something left in the tank. I think he will really help Carolina. I would feel better with some insurance at WR also.

Bottom line? I'm hoping this draft eases the sting of those losses.

That remains to be seen --but the LA that we remember is not the LA we have had the last few years. The only people he handled where the ones that
come striaght at one

Can't man handle someone if you can't hit them.

I agree. So far there hasn't been an obvious plan for a replacement. Unless Johnson is the plan. Then of course there is tomorrow....

What a loaded question...

it is a What if scenario...

What if.... this is it for Parcells and the team doesn't even make the playoffs and Peyton turns out to be Landry Jr....then not firing Bill and not promoting Shaun would be seen as a bad move.

What if.... Terry Glenn gets hurt again and Crayton never regains form...then paying Terry and not having any depth at his position is a potential season threating decision... (might should be in the Walker sweepstakes)

What if.... Johnson and Gurode just suck at center again..no faster way to get to the QB... than maybe we needed that kid out of N.O. (forget his name)

man this could go on for a long time as far as what we should have or could have done in the offseason...
