There are a lot of stupid posts on the Zone. This one is in the lead so far this week, and the week is almost over.

This is the dumbest thread of the year..... question a quarterback with a broken thumb on his throwing hand.... and comparing him to a quarterback with sore ribs. Wow!!!!

I know Romo would have and did in a way but I'm curious. After seeing how Justin Herbert got back in the game against the Chiefs and kept on playing QB despite being injured in what I think were his ribs, I wonder if Dak would have gone out there and tried his best to win the game like how Herbert almost did. Would he have stayed on the sidelines to not risk any more serious injuries to his ribs or would he have tried to do what Romo did in 2011 against SF and what Herbert did? Would he have fared better than Herbert did?

Really makes you wonder how different those two are as QB and if Herbert might be the better QB due to what we all saw against the Chiefs. Your thoughts guys?

He couldn’t grip the football so why should he stay in there? Just to prove to you that he is a manly man’s QB?

I am told he left practice because his new shoes hurt his feet. Then he comes out week 1 and lays a monster sized turd egg. I really don't know what to think. He doesn't look or feel anything like the beast I saw in 2016.

umm YES he would , played with swollen hand amongst other things, can you ridiculous dak haters STOP Posting, its not working hes our qb this year next year and maybe the year after

stop the hate trolling already, he tried to stay in with broken THROWING thumb. Many players played with broken or bruised ribs, Herberts not special..

dak is tough and his injury was BROKEN HAND cant hold the ball cant stay in with a Broken ankle, cant walk cant play

moronic statements continue. yes the posts are hollow and not popular i know you think its popular to bash our Players , its not..

BTW don't bother responding, i block all clueless fans with zero football knowledge and only post emotionally charged hate troll type post against our team.

For real.

They're here arguing weather Dak would have played like Herbert last night when Dak can't even get through a practice if his shoe's aren't perfect :lmao::lmao:

Didn’t see game. Herbert stayed in game because he haven’t got paid yet. The last thing you want is to show that you can’t be relied on when things get tough before getting the bag.

That is not just Herbert. It’s human nature. You want to prove to your team or co workers that one of your best assets in your profession is availability.

Like in Dallas you do that, get paid BIG, and you're now always UNAVAILABLE!!!

I mean we all saw him try to bang his ankle back in place on national TV. If this is a dig. I'm say it's a dumb question.
Beyond dumb, moronic statements crawling out of the woodwork many are seldom seen users with low ost counts who only come in when the team doing bad or payers, they can come dump on happen to have bad game..

New breed , Troll sharks. Blood in the water, here comes hate posts and leave they weren't around much last year 12-5 6-0 run they disappear.

You guys never fail to amaze me. Yes Herbert is an amazing young quarterback. Bit name one quarterback in NFL history that could continue playing with damages in his THROWING HAND?????

You don't have to grip the football with your ribs..... smmfh.
Dak did once play with a bruised and swollen throwinghand.so he has tried. these posts are coming in bunches the hate posts from trolls peeking their heads out only when we are performing bad

i guess Tyrone smith is weak and soft hes out all the time, Kearse , conner, and Gallup i mean jeez how can they not play with blown ACL lol onthe other hand Zeke plays with torn PCL and bruised back and gets nothing but hate. hypocrites.

Perhaps your question could have waited until Prescott had incurred the same injury as Herbert. It is a self-made fallacy measuring "personal toughness" using non equivalently sustained injuries.

Would you suggest Herbert would have gutted it out and returned to the game if his foot had been swiveling at the end of his leg like a rag doll? The question is rhetorical.

Well my question really is. Since Herbert is ELITE. Why didnt he WILL his team to win? I mean. Thats what ELITE QBs do......

And no. I dont think Herbert is better than Dak. I do think the chargers are a much better team and Herbert couldnt win the game. Why?

Like I stated, some of these posters are not Cowboys fans. They post and are liked by their clique buddies, but they are not fans.

Yes, and it usually takes something quite serious for him to take himself out of a game. Naturally, a broken thumb would be serious (and it seems he did try to play on it) as you can't exactly grip a ball if your thumb is broken.
Some injuries are painful and you can tough it out and play through.
Some injuries are debilitating and keep a player from functioning.
Hard to see a QB being able to play when he can't grip the ball.
Dak has issues but toughness is not one of them.
