Would Dak Had Continued Playing Like Herbert Did?

Some injuries are painful and you can tough it out and play through.
Some injuries are debilitating and keep a player from functioning.
Hard to see a QB being able to play when he can't grip the ball.
Dak has issues but toughness is not one of them.

Exactly, and he did try to give it a go for a few plays and realised that his lack of grip was doing more harm to the team than good. So, he took himself out of the game. I'd imagine if he wasn't having grip issues, he'd have played on.

Yes...the guy who threw multiple passes with a broken thumb would never stay in the game with a "rib injury"

Not broken mind you ...a "rib injury" read...ouchie.

I'd imagine Dak's ribs hurt after every game. Especially with how crap the left side of our oline is without Tyron (though Tyler has helped).

An elite QB DID lead his team to a win last night.

Aided greatly by a 99 yard pick 6 that was thrown by a QB that's believed to be an up and coming superstar who made a throw that Dak would've been slaughtered for on here. Haven't really seen anyone critiquing Herbert for that.

Herbert is my favourite QB in the NFL right now, he has it all. Now the Chargers and him still have the pension to choke late in games, but this kid is special and if you think MM is bad...his coach is more of a career killer than ours is. As for Dak, he aggravates the crap out of me, but he wouldn't come out of the game either. It's not even fair to think he could have stayed in the game last weekend

It's one thing to criticize Dak when he plays badly or even for some Cowboys fans to believe he isn't the QB who can carry the Cowboys to the Super Bowl. However sometimes the dislike towards Dak goes beyond reasonable. Such as anyone who tries to question Dak's physical toughness, where there's no doubt he would play hurt in a game if he could. The only time he doesn't play is when the injury is too severe for any football player with the same types of injuries to be able to play.

As was evidenced by the 99 yard pick 6 that completely flipped momentum. If the Chargers had scored there, they'd be 2-0. Herbert made a pretty crap throw there.

Oh, and let's update:

Dak - 134 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT

Mahomes - 595 yards, 7 TDs, 0 INTS.

@Ken bet me that Dak would have a better season than Mahomes, guys :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Yep,
Dak has some real problems with his game right now.
Focus on those and don't malign his character.
He a quality person.
I hope he can figure things out.
So far he's going in the wrong direction.

That's fine. It happens.

You'd still take Herbert over Dak without a second thought just like anyone else that had any sense at all would.

However, as I explained last night, the FO needs to step up and get some help at WR, and we need Peters to be ready for Sunday's game to take the LT spot.

He has some Favre gun slinger in him, and his HC isn't helping things out right now either

Yes, he seems to. The reason I brought up the pick 6 is because, if that was Dak, that'd be considered an unforgivable mistake on here, especially with how that flipped momentum and ultimately led to them losing.

My thoughts are: trash post based on an agenda.

There's room to talk about his performance, but he has never failed to demonstrate heart or grit.

Hey, i'm not sure if you got the news but Dak is out with an injury.

Oh, and the Chiefs dropped more ints than Patty threw last night.

100%, but Dak is more than a pick 6 mistake waiting to happen. Herbert does things very few QB's can do, and the mistakes will need correcting or he will go down the road of Andrew Luck because he's taking some big hits early in his career

That may be, but I'm more referring to the fact that this board would've been up in arms if Dak threw that interception. I doubt you'd say "That's fine, it happens" if that was Dak.
