Carl Lawson a nice vet rotational at edge seemed to deliver consistent pressure and his ex Jet positional coach now in Dallas speaks highly of having coached him in NY .

Eric Kendrick’s again a smart vet knows his position and seems to make the younger LB’s better to have him in the middle . Seems to always be in the center of turnovers .

Rico Dowdle almost 1100 yards as an UDFA playing and running behind a young inconsistent OL . Dowdle had better pass catching skils then I thought he had having seen so little of him until 2024 .

When I hear 20 million per for OSA thrown around I’m of the opinion get a quality DT on a rookie contract in the draft instead .

The three FA I mentioned should be affordable and allow you to stretch the 10 draft picks in the deck of cards further .

Agree with all 3. But I don't see any of them as starters just as valuable rotational guys. Letting any of them walk creates a roster spot and Lord knows we don't need more holes to fill.

Oh exactly . Lawson is a rotational keep the edge fresh player along with Kneeland & Sam Williams who’s playing for a 2nd contract and of course # 11.

Kendrick’s is a piece to a LB corp that is paper thin . Liufau and ? This is where drafting a LB or 2 comes in a Stutsmsn or a Campbell plus signing Kendrick’s .

RB optimal would look like Dowdle plus the 3rd round pick in this draft . 2 headed rushing attack . Plus Leupke .

Lawson is like Fowler was here….a rotational edge guy who can play well when not asked to do too much. Need guys like that.

They will probably finally draft a RB, but not two, and they would (as we well understand) rather resign their own, so Dowdle is probably back. After his 1k milestone his laundry may actually hang in the gift shop. Dallas will pay him more than anyone else will.

Would like to let Eberflus decide on Kendricks, but Stephen could overrule due to salary. Never mind what the team needs. Use a fifth rounder instead. Same thing and cheaper.

5th rounders aren’t going to equal Kendrick’s . Plus a LB in first or second round that’s how thin this position is .

I hear posters say draft 2 RB ? Why ? Draft one plus for 5-6 million bring Dowdle back .

Lawson seems to be more of a fit now and it makes a lot of sense.

Kendricks is based more on need, so I expect to see Eberflus target a guy he knows. All for bringing Kendricks back tho.

Rico is a solid RB. Will Rico be priced out of Dallas? If not, Dowdle a good piece of a RBBC.

Cowboys need to sign either DLaw or Chauncey imo. Osa I expect to price out.

They will probably bring back Dowdle. Said that.

Sarcasm on the fifth rounder thing.

Mazi is really making it hard for us not to resign Osa.

Because 2 drafted RBs are cheaper than Dowdle at $5-6M.

You’ve seen Dowdles production . Drafting 2 unknowns not exactly the same plus how high do you want to spend on 2 backs when DT LB are paper thin the CB position has Bland and ?

This team has so many needs that if you brought back 3 or 4 of your proven contributors it makes the draft / FA more manageable.

Like I said even if you sign Dowdle you draft one back around third round make it two headed attack . You can’t have Dowdle coming out of games for non production replacements like 15 was last season .

I get it, just showing a cheaper strategy for the cap. Keeping Rico makes sense.

If you would have mentioned osa or gholston I would be mad! These 3 surely!!!!! Could Rico get more I think so, he made a minor name for himself, just has to stay healthy. With Zim gone will eberflus start looking to get his former players

Leave him alone matter of fact we value him and still are in contact with him lol

Rico is about to turn 28 and has been here since JG. He’s made his career as a kick returner and in the tub. I just don’t see it unless he’s 2 million max
