Why do people keep clinging to the notion that Garrett's short term status hinges on the week to week results? The reality is, one great week doesn't cement his position for next year, and one bad week doesn't condemn it for next year. And one bad week doesn't signify that he will be fired mid season. Mid season firings are rare, even for very bad teams, which the Cowboys are not. Face it folks, Garrett is going to last through the 2019 season. If the Cowboys were to lose to the Giants, it is unfathomable that JG wouldn't be fired immediately.
Losing to both the Jets and Giants, as heavy favorites in both, would be inexcusable regardless of circumstances.
