Would loss to Giants get Garrett fired?

If the Cowboys were to lose to the Giants, it is unfathomable that JG wouldn't be fired immediately.
Losing to both the Jets and Giants, as heavy favorites in both, would be inexcusable regardless of circumstances.
Why do people keep clinging to the notion that Garrett's short term status hinges on the week to week results? The reality is, one great week doesn't cement his position for next year, and one bad week doesn't condemn it for next year. And one bad week doesn't signify that he will be fired mid season. Mid season firings are rare, even for very bad teams, which the Cowboys are not. Face it folks, Garrett is going to last through the 2019 season.

thats not how it works

mid season firings are for teams that are something along the lines of 0-9

if Garrett doesnt make the playoffs he is out after the season
if Garrett doesnt make it to the NFC championship game he could also be out

Garrett is going to have to force Booger to fire him. It would have to be a total meltdown and losing the team and getting caught in the back seat with Booger's daughter but only if she complained.

“Ummeruhh...as to the considerations of such things (i.e. firing Garrett), I can tell you an aphid makes bigger waves in my mind than to even ponder the notion.” — Jerry [hemming and hawing post-game if we lose to the Giants]

If Garrett was going to be fired mid season, he would have already been fired after the back to back losses... Give it up already...

After the emotional victory over Philadelphia.:)
After a bye week.:)
After being as healthy as we've been in a long time.:)
To not get it done Monday night against the Giants.:(
He doesn't fly back with the team.

As much as I'd relish seeing it happen, I think it would most likely be undertaken in the offseason. We can always dream, though! :D

..kidding me!! .. Bennett is going to take over the game.. ;)....

JG will be the HC on December 29th after that kinda depends on what they do rest of season

The only way I could see him being fired is if we fell out of the playoff picture, which we won't do without four to five more losses. At that point, the Joneses might let Richard or Moore take over to see if they can spark the team ... but I don't see us reaching that threshold until near the end of the season, if we do.

Your psychic medium powers are out of whack again. You gotta stop channeling Pat Haden! Focus your powers on Jerry Jones instead.

I think the Wild Turkey keeps messing with your reception. :muttley::)

Id like to see him fired if win by 50 at this point.take rod with him. It isnt going to happen though

Fully expect to see him as HC for the remainder of the season and what the organization does after the season will depend on the outcome of the 2019 season, not any individual game within the reg season

Garrett isn’t going to be fired while we’re still in playoff contention. I can’t think of any head coach that was fired while their team was leading their division or tied for the division lead.

0% chance Garrett gets fired. This is the last year of his contract. Jerry will play out the season and either opt to give JG a new contract or he will opt to go after Lincoln Riley or Urban Meyer.
