1. 80% Prescription. 80% Dental. $5000.00 Ortho. 80% optical. 50% other medical services including massage therapy.
2. After three years annual contributions to your RRSP (similar to 401K). % of your wage. Works out to be $8500.00/annum for me. I know of others over 10K/annum.
3. (3) wks paid vacation yrs 1-10, (4) wks 10-14, (5) 15-19 and (6) 20 yrs plus.
4. $8000.00 vehicle allowance.
5. New laptop every second year. New cell phone every second year. Fees covered on cell.
6. Every year a corporate junket to a southern location during winter. Last year it was Puerto Vallarta. This year it is Cabo San Lucas.
7. My choice of three conferences to attend yearly. Oddly enough southern locations in the winter are always my choice. Last October I was in Dallas for a Cowboys game, the Dallas Stars, Texas HS 5A ball and the World Series.
8. Work from home. Attend the office one day per week or less. The commute is only (7) minutes so I should be there more often.
9. The expense account is very robust. I dine at least three times per week.
10. Working on a new part of my contract that incorporates education reimbursement.
Bad part of my job, I'm away from home at least (10) working days per month. I have a ridiculous amount of airmiles and there are hotels in Canada and the United States that I do not have to check into. My pass key is waiting at the car rental counter for me and the staff knows what I like to eat. I have not taken a vacation with my family in six years.
