Would Parsons consider taking less money to play alongside Myles Garrett?

Garrett to the Cowboys…

Jerry’s bots are firing on all cylinders while the SB gets ready to be played. There is ZERO chance Myles Garrett is a Cowboy. ZERO.
maybe Garret Wilson has better shot LOL

this has nothing to do with Jerry..

this has everything to do with the real salary cap, you can't have two dudes at the same position both wanting market money, that doesn't usually work in the NFL, there may be an anomaly out there but I'm telling you right now most teams that I have two players at the same position at the same time both making market money..

something has to give, that's why teams who have a young player that's not up for a contract yet at that position can afford to go after a guy and overpay him to improve their team because they don't have to worry about that yet with the young developing and in this case like a defensive end.

Of course he said yes.

We aren't getting Myles Garrett. That's just the usual clickbait tactic of claiming every big name is potentially going to the Cowboys. It's not going to happen just like the last 30 or so big names supposedly going to the Cowboys.

How about we just trade Parsons for Garrett and call it good? I just keep getting this feeling we are going back to the doomsday defense.....

LDE-Golston-Lawrence
LDT- Odighizuwa-Byron Cowart
RDT- Mason Graham/Mazi/Chico Bennett Jr
RDE-Myles Garrett/Kneeland

You willing to give up your first and 2nd rounder to move up to pick 6, maybe pick 5, to get Graham? Any higher and you’d have to toss in that 3rd.

Of course he said yes.

I think he will, but only if he gets exclusive rights for a special late night show on fox together with Myles.

I would advise him not too - just cuz he may want to win, doesn't mean Jerry and Stephen want to. Remember Stephen's most proud accomplishment is The Star, not anything on the field.

What evidence do I have???

I just posted the tweet.
Yes but the word consideration, is only probable..

there's a probability they'd be interested in hearing about a trade, because they have a jaded player who wants a trade but that doesn't mean you'd be he would be traded...

But yes,

the rumor is he would like to be traded ,but that don't mean that's going to happen.

definitely probably not going to happen to a team that already has a very expensive defensive end to pay, they need to be on a team and trade it to a team that can make them an immediate starter give him a new contract, you know he's going to want market money, he believes he's a top three defensive end in this league he's going to want to be paid like it, that's not going to be viable to all teams it'd be like acting like San Francisco or Pittsburgh going to be able to pay both bosa or Watt and add Garett with a brand new contract.. it doesn't even make any sense,.

I mean maybe it could happen, but I doubt it guys like this including other positions, they usually go to the team that needs a true number one that they're NOT already paying market money to, they literally need to land on a team that actually needs a number one and have room for them on the cap. So linking this to the Cowboys is what the media does is what other teams do it's what players agents do to bump up the process, up that value..

FO will screw this up. But some how Eagles or Detroit will sign the guy.

Of course he said yes.

A “discount” deal for Parsons would be 4-8 million off of market value annually. No player takes a deal 10,15,20 mil off of market value. It just doesn’t happen.

You think that 4-8 million dollars signs Garrett? No. It signs Chauncey Golston.

If the Cowboys really wanted Garrett, they could have him if they actually wanted to go for it.

But no, we like our guys and want to protect the 2031 season’s cap space.

Myles said he would take less to play on a contender. With that being said i hope, he enjoys Philly, Detroit, or Washington.
Myles already got his 2nd contract, so it's a bit easier to say and actually do this, if he is being genuine. Micah would be foolish to "take less" from anyone whether it's Dallas or any other team if he is traded, at this point in his career.

You willing to give up your first and 2nd rounder to move up to pick 6, maybe pick 5, to get Graham? Any higher and you’d have to toss in that 3rd.
I got him dropping to us......It's not that far fetched.....

I doubt Micah is serious about taking less to play next to Myles Garrett, but I'd really be glad to see our FO make it happen!
That would probably afford our pass defense an excellent opportunity to be leading the league in quarterback sacks!

Jerry had his opportunity to sign him for less. He likes to wait until the market goes up and then overpay. Look what Denver did with Surtain. I mean, if you wait on the market you gonna pay more. It's that simple. If Micah doesn't take less, I don't blame him. It's the Joneses fault.
