Would there still be issues in the locker room if T.O. were gone?

The most important thing this team can do in the offseason is get Tony Romo right. He is our franchise player, for better or worse, because of what he's being paid. I'm convinced he can't get right with T.O. on this team. There's just too much going on in his head with him having to think about forcing the ball to T.O. so he doesn't complain mixed in with Garrett making bad play calls and I don't think he can handle it all.

If T.O. goes I think you see a much calmer and more at ease Romo.

Yes, because Jerry Jones and Wade Phillips would still be around.

Terrell Owens is a problem but he isn't the only problem.

T.O. fans fail to realize he is a problem and T.O. bashers fail to realize that he isn't the only problem.

I admit I'm probably guilty...

Also, people are really fooling themselves if they think just because Terrell Owens isn't in the lockerroom that the media attention still wouldn't be huge.

The Dallas Cowboys were a great attraction before Terrell Owens and it still would be after Terrell Owens.

Not as loud or obvious would be a step in the right direction, though.

Agreed. But here's the problem.

T.O. is a reflection of Jerry Jones.

Getting rid of T.O. would be a start. But if we have an owner who is continuing to bring in Tank Johnsons and PacMan Jones and celebrity stars who are selfish, it's only going to be a matter of time before we clean the culture and then Jerry Jones gets another bright idea to bring in some malcontent because he believes we're "one player" away.

And the cycle continues.

He did that with Deion. Deion was immensely talented. Problem is, he wasn't a team player, and many of the guys looked up to him.

He allowed Parcells to bring in Keyshawn. The difference with Keyshawn, though, is that he respected Bill Parcells. Parcells was able to keep him under control.

Parcells was building this team to be a team, and here comes Jerry Jones ... T.O. will put us over the top. No, no, you'll ruin what I'm trying to establish here, says Parcells.

Who writes your check, Bill?

You do, Jerry.

T.O. is coming to Dallas, Bill.

Okay, Jerry.

Bill and his disciplines are gone.

Look how well his team is playing with no names.

Look how awful we are playing with stars littered throughout the roster.

:(

The intensity of the problems wouldn't be as great, big difference.
I can't think of many problems that didn't surround some thing owens said or did.

He was talking about this --

http://www.***BANNED-URL***/sharedc.../stories/121208dnspocowboyslede.528a6323.html

"Multiple sources said several players are upset with Romo's practice habits, which they say include forcing throws to Witten and throwing interceptions."

I wonder what the chances are that I'll get to read about Tony's questionable work ethic all offseason because Calvin Watkins can barely write and half of our boar members can barely read?

I'll set the over/under at 99% likelihood and we'll go from there.

TO is one of the biggest leaders on this team, and I think that is an indictment of these Cowboys.

The supposed leaders on this team don't actually lead. They complain and cry.

Ironically, the guys who try to do their jobs and lead by example are the ones the fans seem to have almost no appreciation for.
