Would there still be issues in the locker room if T.O. were gone?

My answer is YES. And I think the reason is that the locker-room does not have any TRUE leaders. It’s the players that are supposed to police the locker-room, not the coaches, not the owner. This has been, and always will be the problem as long as the current so called leaders that we have- Bradie James, Terrance Newman, Greg Ellis, T.O.- continue to fail to make the locker room the sanctuary that it needs to be. All of these guys have at various points over the last few years, as well as this year, have been talked to the MEDIA about problems or issues with the team. I do not recall hearing about any of these guys addressing the TEAM to get issues resolved.

Today, we read ESPN and local media reports about “Bradie James confronts fan”. Instead, I would have loved to see a report that says, “Bradie James confronts teammates after gutless performance”.

These guys in particular are the ones we heard from when Parcells left about how the team would be better off, and guys would be able to play without fear of making mistakes, playing at their natural weight, playing in a less restrictive scheme, etc.

Well, for some reason the same problems exist.

While it may be true that most of the players do not respect the coaches, it also seems to be true that most of the players do not respect their appointed leaders.

With that said, I am encouraged to have players like Tashard Choice and Orlando Scandrick who play with a lot of heart and passion, as well as serving as an inspiration to the team. Let these young guys lead the way to a needed change in the locker room!

You want to read James confronted his teammtes over their play BUT want everything left in the locker room?

So how would you know he confronted them?

Yes we would.

Why?

Because we are the Dallas Cowboys.

Nothing is going to be perfect in any NFL locker room.

If the Media picked any 1 of the other 32 teams to hammer on a weekly basis like this one gets hammered than you can always find something.

Thats why we need a leader who can keep guys focused.

The Landry's and Johnson's win in Dallas for that reason.

Without TO the locker room would be much improved & any issues would be normal and minimal.

TO is like an overanxious, overbearing, hyper-critical parent making a young toddler wet their pants. They might mean well but their constant negative energy & aura is an infection with bad consequences

The TO experiment failed, time to send him packing and get into a power running & 2-TE game which also minimizes our two biggest weaknesses on offense... jason's bad playcalling and romo's turnovers.

More and more I'm becoming convinced the lack of leadership (as far as the players are concerned) is at the QB position.

Players going to coaches and complaining about Romo's work ethic was the most disappointing thing I read all season.

You got a link?

I haven't heard anything about this and if true than I can't understand why this isn't the headline.

What's this? Who's ever complained about Romo's work ethic?

Not all the problems would exit with him. Every team has problems.
Fear of being able to step up as a leader would go, fear of back stabbing would go. fear of being able to discipline would go.
I could do this all day so I won't.

Yes.

Just not as loud or obvious.
Yep. Every team has problem children, but these idiots are crying to the media cause they're not man enough to handle their issues inhouse. Owens, Roy, and sadly, even Newman, all ran their mouths to the media cause they were too cowardly to man up to Stewart and Garrett behind closed doors.

Cant speak on this season, but after last year's Philly game, an "unnamed Pro Bowler" called out Romo on his focus to none other than little Edward Werd.

He was talking about this --

http://www.***BANNED-URL***/sharedc.../stories/121208dnspocowboyslede.528a6323.html

"Multiple sources said several players are upset with Romo's practice habits, which they say include forcing throws to Witten and throwing interceptions."

Without TO, the lockerroom problems wouldn't be reported as much, so everyone would think they don't exist.

I didn't see any one say that, they said the same thing you did.
I said there would also be less problems.

Yes, there would be, because the lack of team cohesion and chain of authority and command on the team do not involve TO in the least. We'd have one fewer quality WR though. Damn, didn't think I'd ever defend TO...

True but then I think most locker rooms will have problems from time to time after all 53 men are not going to see eye to eye many times but as you said it is not reported. TO it is because of a long history of incidents, fair or not it is the reality and I wish TO was more aware of that at times before he speaks. I will say he has not been as big of a problem as some have suggested in the media but he is a guy who wears his emotions on his sleeves and tends to be thin skinned.
