That was my thought as well that we need DE, DT, OLB and could use competition at WR, OL, and S. Adding CB as a stark need to that seems like a lot to deal with

I think at best he will be an average deep to intermediate zone player but he is very good man to man player. His play in the short zone has been very good lately. He has done a great job taking on outside runs, bubble screens, and other horizontal throws.
Now I get he is not worth the $9m that he scheduled but if he were to cut that 60% to around $4m a la Doug Free, I think he would be worth that. FA corners that are going to be available at that price are not going to be much if any better than Carr and the market for Carr himself is not likely to be higher.
