I'm betting this gets moved:rolleyes:

But would you give the Jets Austin,Ellis a 4th and 5th for their 17th pick??

The Jets play in a 3-4 and they need some pass rushers at OLB considering Gholston did squat last year, so he could be productive to them.

They are reportedly interested enough in Austin, that he's going to stay there for 2 days. Seems pretty serious to me. If they do make an offer they are obviously ready to hand over a 2nd rounder.

It would give us our 1st rounder back and still have a 2nd and low 3rd..

1st round-Nicks
2nd round-Ellerbe
3rd round-Rashad Johnson

What do you think?

1st round-Delmas(grab him before New England or Atlanta does)
2nd round-Duke
3rd round-Ellerbe

parts in bold ==>>:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

no way in hell is Delmas worth the 17th overall pick

I think it is an interesting and well-thought out question, but I am sure the Jets would not go for it. The value just isn't there.

I love Nicks, but he wouldn't be worth it either

Chung?

Nicks is going to be a star though...he's like Braylon but can actually catch the ball

well it would be nice to draft those players. But Romo has been working with Austin for 3 years. Romo can't just gel with a wr as was the case with the Roy Williams trade. the draft just needs to get here cause all these mock drafts, crazy draft ideas, and speculation are getting to be too much.

I love Chung too, but no

if I'm at 17, I might take Andre Smith :)

If the Jets get Austin, I assume that they lose next year's #2....is that correct?

You mean Chung at #51? Certainly not at 17.

Yes, but I don't think they'd do it. I think Austin + our 2nd is a more likely scenario for their 17th pick.

Not only would I do that, I would trade back again because thats too high for Nicks and pick up another 3rd rder and still get Nicks.

Andre Smith, Raji (if the pot stuff that won't hold up just holds up), maybe even Maclin gets there. Easily any of those 3. Maybe even Mauluga. Other than Crabtree and Maclin no WR's before the 3rd round for me please.

I know I'm kidding. If he was there in the 5th I still wouldn't draft him.

that's a little extreme, don't you think? I hate Brace, but I wouldn't mind taking him in the 3rd round

just not as our 1st pick

I would take Delmas at 51 if we absolutely had to, and he was by far the BPA, and provided Chung wasn't there
