All of those but Austin are top 5 at their positions. So, I'd guess he's about the only one I'd entertain the idea on and that's only because he hasn't had a chance to put up the numbers yet.

You don't trade Ware, Romo, or Ratliff for any price because elite QBs and pass rushers are extremely rare. The fact that we have two elite pass rushers on the same team right now is amazing. I think it's safe to say the only other team that does right now is Minnesota with Allen and K. Williams.

Witten and Austin I could see trading if enough was given in return. it hurts to say because Witten is one of my top 3 favorite players in the NFL. But TEs and WRs are much easier to replace, so if multiple high picks are offered, I'd be willing to take the chance.

I think it depends on where you are as a team and what compensation is being offered for the player in question.If you view the team as one that is on the decline you would trade away players to a contender in order to rebuild through the draft.On the other hand if you have a team that is considered a contender you wouldn't want to trade away your core players because they are key contributors to your team.

The 90s dynasty was built off of the back of the Herschel Walker trade and many would have said that he should be considered untouchable.

Did you know, Walker led the Cowboys in rushing AND receiving in 1987.

Plus, he played in just 12 of the 15 games that year.

60 Rec, 715 yards, 1 TD

Only Cowboy player to do that and one of the few (if not only) to have EVER done it....too lazy to check.

But seriously, If the price was right, I'd probably trade any of them. It's still a business. You'd be foolish to trade the key players on your team though, why would you trade a franchise pass rusher? To go and draft one? Or trade your starting QB to go and get another starting QB?

Austin - Andre Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald.

Ware - three team trade for Troy Polamalu and Ed Reed. Send out a couple of first rounders w/Ware.

Witten - Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree.

Ratliff - untouchable.

The only guy on that list I wouldn't trade is Romo, and I'd even trade him if someone wanted to give me another proven QB + a #1 pick.

Everyone else on that list is replaceable, and you can still win without any of them, but the price would be high.

Right now, with our team where it is, the first two guys I'd trade are Austin and Witten...next tier would be Ratliff...next tier would be Ware...and Romo would be untouchable. We don't have another QB we could definitely win with, and it's very hard to replace a starting QB in this league, especially an above average one.
