I wouldn't give up a 7th for Hall.

Be real, son.

I'd give them a second. For that kind of talent, at 24 years old?

He has alot of flaws, but tremendous potential, still.

I don't want him as a starting corner, and I doubt he'd take the nickel role too well.

I don't want Hall, at all.

The guy from Oakland or Trufant would be nice but if they get franchised, as the guy who originally posted this thread thought, then you're not going to get either of them for a 1 and a 3. If they're franchised you're giving up 2 #1's to get them.

Thanks, but no thanks.

I like them but not enough to give up 2 #1's for them.

I believe that rule was changed a few years ago. It's not automatically 2 #1 picks.

I agree. Wasn't it Chad Johnson he torched after he had I own 85 cut in to his hair? That was stupid.

I think you're kind of underrating his talent. He's got plenty, and he's only 23 or 24. With more experience, I think he can be elite still. A second for him would be a steal, IMO.

Nnamdi Asomugha was drafted with the 31st pick of round 1, and has developed into one of the best cover corners in the league. I'm hoping we can pull off that kind of coup with one of our two low first rounders.

I wonder if there are any corners with that kind of size and speed in the draft this season. Al Davis went for the physical freak, and it payed off.

Cannot beleive all the people that think Hall will ever be anymore then he is now. The guy does not have the discipline to ever be better. He is a total headcase showoff and will never be anything more then he is now.

Thanks Miss Cleo.

I think I'll hold off on burying a 23 year old corner with as much talent as any DB in the league for the time being, though.

I think down the road, Hall can be a good corner, but he's just too immature right now

What sort of talent are you referring to? His physical attributes? Because they're not that spectacular. Guys with those attributes are a dime a dozen.

He's got good size and strength, he's got good speed, he's got good ball skills. There's nothing bad to be said about his physical skills. He just has poor technique, and isn't consistent. That's something you can fix, if he's interested in fixing it.

He needs to play for the 49ers before he comes to Dallas..;)

Back on topic, I don't want to get cute with our picks this year, let's just look to the draft..

if we can get trufant or ashomunga or whatever in FA id much rather have jerry trade one of th epicks for a WR . there is NO WR in this class that will help us immediately i keep saying it . they take a few years the numbers prove it ,always an exception yeah. Not sure who is not aq FA and is on the market to be traded though. id actually liek to see both of our first rounders traded for established players (roy will, chad johnson. ect) we can draft for depth with our other picks.

I just don't think he has the recognition skills and that's something I think you wake up with. It can be improved upon, but like you said, he's probably not even interested in fixing it.

I heard Woodson and James Washington talking a while back, and their observation about young DBs was that for a few years, they just rely on their physical skills, and take chances while getting burned more often than not - until one day, that recognition starts to take hold, and you know what route and breaks your opponent is going to make before he makes it.

I think Hall would be worth a chance with a second. That's if we can't get PacMan, of course.

There are always late bloomers. But it's moot because he wouldn't take the nickel role. And there are guys with better skills in this draft.

I didn't think it would actually happen here - I just was talking about his value in general, in the land of make believe.

Like if KC was looking to trade for a corner...

I've been learning about them corners...it looks good where we're sitting.

Well, yeah, if were sitting around with Mario Edwards and Derek Ross, I wouldn't be against it. :)

I go to the University of Iowa, and I can tell you first hand, Godfrey is no Asomugha. He is a good corner, one that will probably go late 2nd or 3rd.

He's more physical than he is fast, and would be a good bump and run corner. He doesnt have great speed to keep up with receivers, and sometimes has trouble locating the ball in the air. However he plays with alot of heart (think Bob Sanders...you guys may hate him, but you cant deny his heart) and will go after his man each and every game. I would love to have him on our team, but I dont think he will ever turn into the player Asomugha is. But he is a pretty good corner.
