Would you rather have an offensive or a defensive minded HC to replace McCarthy

I'm just curious, what would you rather have running the Cowboys for their next HC?
- An offensive minded HC like Andy Reid, Kyle Shanahan or Sean McVay?
- A defensive minded HC like Mike Tomlin, John Harbaugh or Demeco Ryans?
- a special teams minded HC?
Or a walk around HC like Philly has?

Honestly does it really matter? If we get a Defensive minded HC are we going to get a DT in FA? I think we already know the answer regardless of who the coach becomes.

I miss him. How many of you recall the game when he received a death threat and wouldn't leave the sideline? They had to make him go to the locker room and get a bullet proof vest. No way was anyone ever going to intimidate him. The man was a war hero flying bombing mission over Germany fighting against the biggest nut job ever!

Would rather have an offensive head coach. You have to score a lot of points to win and our offense struggled last season. We need to get Dak back on track.

that was a monday night game against the rams in '87.
when he finally agreed to leave the field...he handed the playsheet to danny white.
later in the game after he had returned...he asked danny why he was standing so far away.
danny told him..."coach,the guy might not be a good shot and i don't want to get hit."

I don't have a preference, really. That's what coordinators are supposed to be for, right?

What matters to me is whether the guy has philosophies he can communicate - and ideally, sell - to his players, subordinates and the Joneses.

One who knows both, but I want an offensive-minded coach unless we're talking about Dan Quinn, whom I think we should have made the HC. Kellen Moore leaving was stupid too..

Defense wins championships....we need a coach that will run the entire team and oversee both sides of the ball. Take care of the defense when we're on offense and the offense when we're on defense. Control the flow....

There have been offensive coaches for awhile. It is time to go defense and make it the identity of the team while Dak and the offense just drive the bus. The defense isn’t bad, it needs a few extra good players including a DT, linebacker and a safety. Get an OC who is familiar with Dak, probably Shotty, and concentrate on the run game.
