None of that addresses the fact that Elliott is paid way too much compared to the contribution he's made to the Cowboys in 2019. Aaron Jones, even if he does get paid, will be a much better value as long as he keeps contributing to his team as he has been in 2019.
How can you assess his contribution at midseason, as if he has not proven himself since being a Cowboy. What will you say at the end of the year if he performs well, going forward? Who on this team, has played to his contract?
