None of that addresses the fact that Elliott is paid way too much compared to the contribution he's made to the Cowboys in 2019. Aaron Jones, even if he does get paid, will be a much better value as long as he keeps contributing to his team as he has been in 2019.

How can you assess his contribution at midseason, as if he has not proven himself since being a Cowboy. What will you say at the end of the year if he performs well, going forward? Who on this team, has played to his contract?

He'd have to rush for 2000 yards to earn his keep. He's not on pace to do that so that's how I assess his contribution at midseason. He's far too overpaid.

did you miss the part where I said he's overpaid? He's awesome and overpaid, that happens sometimes. I'd much rather have Zeke. I think maybe if the argument were someone else I'd feel more inclined to discuss. Not Aaron Jones though, that's just foolish and kneejerk.

I thought he was compensated fairly every season until he got a new deal. You need to stop trying to talk down to me. Who do you think you are? I own my own business and am quite successful at it. Economics is something I'm far more educated on than the average poster around here.

You are also missing the point. What you learn in school does not always translate to real life. In business, there are loopholes and fine wording to contracts. Let's see how the Packers value Jones 16x more value, when it comes down to his next contract. Then contrast that to how Jones feels about his value to the Packers.

Advanced analytics don't pay diddly. I am sure analytics were used in determining Zeke's contract, and those analytics, plus human thinking landed him his money. A proven commodity cannot be compared to fools gold. The Cowboys know how to disperse their funds, and their capital gains are proof.

Adams compared himself to Brady and Donald; please explain advanced analytics from his point of view.

Mr. Jones is a billionaire, surrounded by other billionaires, with millionaires doing his bidding. They are well aware on how to handle financial affairs. That Zeke contract may be foolish to many, but it is a drop in the bucket compared to overall monies involved.
