Would you rather have Elliott, or Aaron Jones GB rb?

So being bigger, and thinking their body holds up better makes them a better player and value?

Before this season you wouldnt have even mentioned Aaron Jones in the same breath as Elliott so go troll somewhere else. Most experts rank Elliott much higher than Jones and YES Elliott is better.

Problem. Jones most likely wouldn't hold up w/ 20+ carries/game.
Also be realistic if Jones continues to put up stats do you think he will continue to play for 500k ? He will want more so at some point he will get paid than i shall ask who do you want than ?

Better player? no. Better value? Prolly.

Somebody is asking a dumb question if Joness keeps producing this year do you think 500k he'll be happy with......no he want so he shall get paid than is he better than Elliott ?

um what. he was second-team all-pro last year. Don't bring me that BS that he wasn't first-team to discredit his value LOL.
I've never understood the false creation of statements just because someone doesn't like a player or didn't agree w/ drafting him or whatever. Frankly, makes them look rather foolish. Silly stuff.

Hard to say. Not all people base their entire lives on greed.

Jones is averaging 4.1 YPC in limited carries this season. Not really putting up that great of stats.

Guess you don't understand what value is. I learned it in 3rd grade, but whatever.

Anyone else see the common denominator with all the top backs?

Long runs, big plays (20+ yard runs)

Zeke has one (1) this year....a 27-yard run, lulz.

681+ carries and three seasons since Zeke has had a run longer than 41-yards.

Funny, with less big runs than all of your favorites, Zeke still holds his own. Go figure. So if he could chalk up a few more "long" runs, there would be no problem.

Another obvious point flies right over your oblivious head. It's not about Zeke's performance on the field. It's about what he contributes to the team versus his price tag compared to what other RBs contribute to their team versus their price tag. You aren't burdened with paying that price tag so you don't seem to care about this point. You'd rather just express how much of a Zeke fanboy you are. LOL

You understand rookie contracts don’t remain static forever right. This is Jones third yr, so one of two things is going to happen. He’s going back to obscurity, or for another yr he’ll perform well enough to make this conversation remotely worth entertaining and will get paid.

Ok, well I completely disagree on the value of Zeke. I don't think he has even made much of a difference this year. Last game he finally showed up where he was running hard. Lacks big plays. Definitely not a leader on this team on or off the field. One drunk night away from another suspension. I actually think given the carries, that Pollard could have similar stats with more big plays. I would just be concerned about durability. But go out and sign two more quality backs and done worry about it.

And Zeke needs great Oline play to have great games.

Now if he was Barkely, then I would pay him 15 million.

Foolish and uninformed statement. Why would you, "in your own words" pay any RB, that kind of money? Dallas, does not have great line play, but some of you are so far gone, that you can't see it. Zeke is not a scatback, nor does he have the greatest vision, but he gets the job done on a consistent basis.

Some poster stated, that Zeke's not an elite back. If he's not elite, there are no elite backs in the NFL. Yes, there are some quicker, faster, better vision, better fluidity, but in totality; can any do it all?

How about we compare at the end of the season. To this point, it should be pretty obvious Elliott is the better all around RB.

Vague response, so school me bro. What is value?

Player contribution / contract amount = value
You missed an entire side of the equation, but now you know.

All advanced analytics say Jones has contributed more to wins than Zeke this year, but let's just say they were equal to simplify the point.

If they were equally contributing to wins, while Jones costing 1/16th as much that presents 16x more value.

Your point was incredibly wrong. Unless you think Watkins is more valuable than Zeke vause he signed for $17M

As I said dont skip school kiddos. .

OP might be the dumbest poster on this site and that's saying something. He's been making troll threads since day one. Oddly enough they used to revolve around ridiculous takes in favor of Murray.

None of that addresses the fact that Elliott is paid way too much compared to the contribution he's made to the Cowboys in 2019. Aaron Jones, even if he does get paid, will be a much better value as long as he keeps contributing to his team as he has been in 2019.

for sure. I'm not really here for the in the moment of economics of it. Zeke is overpaid, and Aaron Jones is not that good. That's my position.

You are also missing the point. What you learn in school does not always translate to real life. In business, there are loopholes and fine wording to contracts. Let's see how the Packers value Jones 16x more value, when it comes down to his next contract. Then contrast that to how Jones feels about his value to the Packers.

Advanced analytics don't pay diddly. I am sure analytics were used in determining Zeke's contract, and those analytics, plus human thinking landed him his money. A proven commodity cannot be compared to fools gold. The Cowboys know how to disperse their funds, and their capital gains are proof.

Adams compared himself to Brady and Donald; please explain advanced analytics from his point of view.

If you want to pretend the price tag of Elliot doesn't exist, sure, he's awesome. :muttley:
