Would you take Reid as a Head Coach?

Given what he can do with backups, yep... though without it might not look as good. We like to bust on his fat plenty, but no doubt the guy's a very good coach, (with a cheap owner).

An Eagles fan I work for was just telling me the knock on him, is he's stubborn in his playcalling, (sound familiar?), but give him widespread talent and he's winning when it counts...

OK so what about Johnson as the HC?

Johnson looks like he's about to fall over. How old is that guy and when the hell is he going to retire already?

With what Andy Reid has done and built in Philly over a long period of time, and the way he does it, it would be totally foolish to say "no"...this is only hypothetical obviously, but I'd be thrilled to have him as a head coach....he's one of the best in the business.

He's won lots of big games, which is why he's been to the NFC championship so many times, mostly with inferior talent, and to the SB once, and currently has a better team than we do, obviously.

Anyone waiting for a head coach who's already proven he can win a super bowl is looking at an extremely short list of prospects, probably none of whom are very realistic.

I'd be thrilled with Reid, Norv, Cowher, and any number of other coaches that I think could bring something special to our team.

I dont know i guess i would take him as HC but he has to bring Jim Johnson as the DC or no deal. With the Romo, T.O, Glenn, and Witten our passing game with him would be the best in the league. and yes that includes over the Colts

Surely you don't mean Turner as head coach. He was an abject failure as one in Washington.

What would the West Coast Offense be like with our current roster?
I think Romo, Glenn, obviously TO, and maybe Barber would fit in a WCO just fine

He seems to win a lot of games but never the big game.

At least he's IN some big games...

In a heartbeat. The Eagles originally didn't want Reid as their coach. Brett Favre talked to Lurie and told him that Reid was the brains behind the Packers and not Mike Holmgren. The Eagles interviewed Reid as a formality but were impressed by his interview and how organized he was in his presentation. That is what Reid is known for. He is very much a meticulously organized head coach who communicates well with his players. He truly understands the game.

If Parcells had the talent Reid had, we would finish with a worse record than we have now and the fans here would have even more fodder to make excuses. The Eagles had every right to make excuses for this season after McNabb yet they found a way to be competitive. And don't cite Jeff Garcia because 90% of this board wrote him off a long time ago.

I would.

There is a very prominent poster here that says he is not a good gameday coach, which I obviously disagree.

You guys also have to remember, that the Eagles take one in the nose just about every year and let go of aging but still extremely productive players because they know how to work the Salary Cap.

Remember when everyone was saying they were stupid for letting Taylor and Vincent Go?

How bout when they let guys like Trotter, (I forget the Defenisve Line player they let go), Hugh Douglas, Duece Staley?

How about when T.O. was released?

Everyone was saying they were going to finish last in the NFC East and there was no doubt abut that.

I really dont think it has sunk in, this guy just totally dominated one of the healthiest teams in the NFC, that has a Hall of Fame coach at its helm without McNappy and Kearse and Jeff Garcia as the signal caller.

Would I take Andy Reid as Head Coach?

Not yes, but Hell *** Yes.
