Would you take Reid as a Head Coach?

I think Reid is an elite coach tho I have two biases against him. One being his tightwadded alliance with Lurie to play under the cap for several years (which of course would be moot under Jerry:D), and the other is my fondness for old fashioned tailback running....I don't fancy wcos in general and especially those that often are as obstinate about NOT running as guys like Bill are about opening up the pass with the run.

Reid's relaxed some in his pass-run ratio, tho, which speaks well of him.

He's far from the top of my list to replace Bill, but we could do far worse.

as well as in Oakland. Hell of an OC, though.

Reid is like Cowher in this sense, he wins but not Championships but his longevity may yet weild the law of averages to bow in his corner.

Bobby Knightish, is it not?

One area Reid far surpasses Cowher in is Xs and Os.

I like BC's old school style. a lot. But I'd prefer a coach with more actual coordinator type acumen, only not slavish to any system.

John Fox was once that man...until this season.

Yes, which only goes to show last year's darling is often this year's deadmeat.

I read the Panthers press daily, and have noticed tho, Fox is not being raked over the coals by the media or fans.

Dan Henning is. Unfairly, imo.

So the bloom isn't off Fox's rose yet...he's on my short list, anyway, not far under Jeff Fisher.

not so, my young padawan....check your history...Norv had that team on the way up from the bottom, just as did Schottenheimer...both were doing well in Washington but were cut loose before they could finish the job by an impatient idiot owner.

Norv has proven that he's great at developing young players like ours...SF is proof this year as well.

I guess we could go from one coach with a rep for blowing big games to another. Lateral move, pretty much. Instead of complaints of too conservative, we'll get burned because he's too stubborn with the pass. Yesterday's game and dedication to the run is not typical Reid.

Just so long as it isn't Dennis Franchione, talk about a failure.

No missed the jacket memo, you shouldn't have run over the gift you requested, it was autographed and I had great difficulty keeping Garcia away from it, he wanted it real bad, you should have invited him over for girl time.

I saw the game, but a real clown goes on other team's message boards forgetting that the game is cyclical and he will one day have to face unpleasantness and is better suited to be of good sportsmanship or else face certain wrath in time.

Agreed, but he still handed Baylor it's worst loss in team history :lmao2:
You sure take a great interest in Baylor for a team you disregard so often.

He seems to win a lot of games but never the big game.

Would Reid leave Dickie's Barbeque Pit long enough to formulate a gameplan?
