Would you trade 1st/2nd pick if Shariff Floyd drops to #9?

3) I believe Sharrif Floyd could fall out of the top 10 if the Oakland Raiders pass on him at No. 3.

The teams picking fourth through ninth either don't fit Floyd scheme-wise or they are set at the position. The Tennessee Titans (10th pick) would be his last hope to land in the top 10, barring a trade-up from another team.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

The Jets are looking to move down now that they have 2 #1 picks..

Could Jerry make a move like last year(Mo Clairborne) to secure a player that should go in the top 3?

Comment?

4.5 sacks in three college seasons to me is not the kind of player that screams out "best defensive player in the draft" or "best prospect at his position in ten years" like how the Claiborne pick was justified. No thanks.

if you want to know why there are so many busts and steals inb the draft in todays nfl? Because of the sr bowl, combine and prodays. players are climbing and falling because of what they do in these 3 events. sharrif was a player sloted for a a vbottom half 1st rd draft. After 3 three events he's a potential top 5 pick? In some cases its a legit climb(Demarcus Ware). But in most cases, these types of players leave the team scratching their heads on what went wrong.

I don't think you can do that two years in a row without hurting your depth.

Hell NO.... you can argue that Richardson or Williams are just as good. And we need to keep our middle round picks. Floyd is not an elite talent.

no, draft is deep for OL and Defensive players. couple that with the needs of the team and lack of help added in FA, picks are a premium

the chiefs are scratching there heads on what happened to when they drafted poe last year. he did nothing in his first year. I live in Missouri so i read all kinds of chiefs news and they do not have much hope that he is ever going to live up to the hype that he created in last years senior bowl game. I have a feeling Floyd is good player but not the best defensive lineman in this draft.

its not just limited to floyd. every yr these players rise and fall because of what they do in tights. and in these players you get most of the busts and steals. but its because of media and the want for money that these events are so important now. not really what players have done on the football field in college.

I won't trade up for him at all. And might not even select him at 18.

It was a mistake last year and it would be a mistake this year.

Yeah, Poe blew up the combine but did very little on tape to justify being picked that high. I'm an amateur scout and I could've called that one. Floyd has just 4.5 sacks in 3 years. It gets dangerous when you start trying to project what they could be at the next level when they've done very little at the collegiate level.
