Would You Trade Micah Parsons for 2 First Picks in the 2026 NFL Draft?

Would take 2 firsts and maybe 2 2nds and a 3rd and 4th. From a team that's sub .500. Probably I would do it. 2026 is going to be loaded with talent and we would have to seriously start looking for Dak's replacement.

Micah is our best player and his new contract will be very costly. The Browns have 2 First Round Picks next year. You could use these picks to move up to get Arch Manning or make deals multiple draft picks in the Day 2 & 3 and set us up with a bonanza of future key players. Would you do it?
Yes, in a heartbeat. You get 2 players who are not only younger, but cheaper. Plus, you can pick up a ton of free agent talent with the money you saved.

I don't think Parsons will last matching up against offensive linemen that have 75 pounds on him. He would be better off in a 3-4 defense.

Yes, then package them with our 1st and whatever else to move up to up to the #1 overall pick.

I think the plan is too risky. All it takes is a team that really needs a QB to be at pick number 1, and they might not accept anything to trade out of that spot.

You pretty confident those two players would be pro bowlers, eh?

No way.

He’s elite.

Beyond elite.

You could pick 10 players in the draft, and not even close.

When do you make this trade. He is playing on his 5th year option.
They would need franchise tag him, then wait until the draft to trade him.

What if the Browns do not have a top pick to get Manning. And maybe the Browns would want to pick Manning if none of their 5 current QBs work out.
Probably why they got into position with two firsts next year. Use them in an effort to trade up for the number one pick. They have a better pass rusher than Micah, and Micah will be seeking Garrett pay. They can’t afford Micah.

No one is trading significant draft capital for a $40+ million pass rusher. If he were worth 6 draft picks to a “sub .500 team” shouldn’t the Cowboys sign him? They’re a sub .500 team and they can sign him without giving up any draft capital. Just because you’re used to a stupid front office don’t assume there is another one in the league even more stupid.

There's a risk (as to the quality of the draft picks) no doubt. There's also a risk to retaining Parsons- injury, decline in play, etc.... There's no risk-free choice.

I would hope that first round draft picks are quality players- especially if higher in the first round, like Cleveland's for example. Add in the $40M in free agent signings (let's say $20M each), and that's four quality players. I'm taking those 4 players over Parsons every time.

Rams have two 1st rounders next year. They like to do trades like that. I would Franchise Tag Micah next off-season. 2027 I would put the exclusive franchise tag on him and see if a team comes calling with two 1st round picks.
There you go. He thinks Rams will do it.

This is hilarious.

The bidding for Manning will be steep but if trading Micah would facilitate it I'd be all over that like a hobo on a hotdog.

Khalil Mack has entered the chat..... and I would say Micah's a far superior pass rusher and disruptor than Mack was at his point when he got traded.

The question was "would I" as if I were the GM. Yes I would. Would the Cowboys be able to make a deal like that? Probably not...

From which team? He's worth much more than two late round 1sts.
Tell me you didn't read the post without telling me you didn't read the post. The OP wasn't even that long and your answer was in the 2nd sentence.

Not that I completely agree with it (due to below)...

I'll never forget the year we got the Browns 1st rounder and they became good for a single season. What in the hell.
Haha you are correct. They went 4-12 the seasons before and after, but 10-6 in 2007 to give us the 22nd pick in the 2008 draft.
