Yes, in a heartbeat. You get 2 players who are not only younger, but cheaper. Plus, you can pick up a ton of free agent talent with the money you saved.Micah is our best player and his new contract will be very costly. The Browns have 2 First Round Picks next year. You could use these picks to move up to get Arch Manning or make deals multiple draft picks in the Day 2 & 3 and set us up with a bonanza of future key players. Would you do it?
From which team? He's worth much more than two late round 1sts.
You pretty confident those two players would be pro bowlers, eh?Yes, in a heartbeat. You get 2 players who are not only younger, but cheaper. Plus, you can pick up a ton of free agent talent with the money you saved.
I don't think Parsons will last matching up against offensive linemen that have 75 pounds on him. He would be better off in a 3-4 defense.
Arch Manning has had 2 starts in college backing up a guy who was drafted in the seventh round by a team with a starting QB firmly in place (although a light breeze away from being out of football entirely).Yes, then package them with our 1st and whatever else to move up to up to the #1 overall pick.![]()
No way.Micah is our best player and his new contract will be very costly. The Browns have 2 First Round Picks next year. You could use these picks to move up to get Arch Manning or make deals multiple draft picks in the Day 2 & 3 and set us up with a bonanza of future key players. Would you do it?
He will return for his final year. There's no way he comes out early.Arch Manning would be a genuine foundational piece to build a roster from.
We then would just need a better roster builder(GM) and future teacher(HC) for him.
But yes, whatever steps it takes to finally land an actual elite QB should be done.
Probably why they got into position with two firsts next year. Use them in an effort to trade up for the number one pick. They have a better pass rusher than Micah, and Micah will be seeking Garrett pay. They can’t afford Micah. When do you make this trade. He is playing on his 5th year option.
They would need franchise tag him, then wait until the draft to trade him.
What if the Browns do not have a top pick to get Manning. And maybe the Browns would want to pick Manning if none of their 5 current QBs work out.
No one is trading significant draft capital for a $40+ million pass rusher. If he were worth 6 draft picks to a “sub .500 team” shouldn’t the Cowboys sign him? They’re a sub .500 team and they can sign him without giving up any draft capital. Just because you’re used to a stupid front office don’t assume there is another one in the league even more stupid.Would take 2 firsts and maybe 2 2nds and a 3rd and 4th. From a team that's sub .500. Probably I would do it. 2026 is going to be loaded with talent and we would have to seriously start looking for Dak's replacement.
There's a risk (as to the quality of the draft picks) no doubt. There's also a risk to retaining Parsons- injury, decline in play, etc.... There's no risk-free choice. You pretty confident those two players would be pro bowlers, eh?
There you go. He thinks Rams will do it.Rams have two 1st rounders next year. They like to do trades like that. I would Franchise Tag Micah next off-season. 2027 I would put the exclusive franchise tag on him and see if a team comes calling with two 1st round picks.
LolI would trade Micah for a 4th in 2028
The bidding for Manning will be steep but if trading Micah would facilitate it I'd be all over that like a hobo on a hotdog.Micah is our best player and his new contract will be very costly. The Browns have 2 First Round Picks next year. You could use these picks to move up to get Arch Manning or make deals multiple draft picks in the Day 2 & 3 and set us up with a bonanza of future key players. Would you do it?
Khalil Mack has entered the chat..... and I would say Micah's a far superior pass rusher and disruptor than Mack was at his point when he got traded. No one is trading significant draft capital for a $40+ million pass rusher. If he were worth 6 draft picks to a “sub .500 team” shouldn’t the Cowboys sign him? They’re a sub .500 team and they can sign him without giving up any draft capital. Tell me you didn't read the post without telling me you didn't read the post. The OP wasn't even that long and your answer was in the 2nd sentence. From which team? He's worth much more than two late round 1sts.
Haha you are correct. They went 4-12 the seasons before and after, but 10-6 in 2007 to give us the 22nd pick in the 2008 draft.I'll never forget the year we got the Browns 1st rounder and they became good for a single season. What in the hell.
