Would You Trade Micah Parsons for 2 First Picks in the 2026 NFL Draft?

The 2026 draft is definitely supposed to be more talented than 2025 so it would be something to consider.

A top OL will prevent Micah or any other pass rusher from getting a sack 99% of the time. Given how well our team drafts OL and how much he’s going to cost (the price of two top FA OTs) you are basically indicating to me he’s worth the value of an entire solid OL so I would say trade him, even if he wasn’t a headache and a distraction. Sacks are getting overvalued at this point. We were third is sacks last year and gave up the second most points in the nfl.

This. He’s already said he’s going to play college for awhile as well. Also, let’s be honest. He’s never even started a season yet. He needs some seasoning.
Agreed 100%. I don't see him coming out next year. He played at a pretty small HS and really hasn't done much at Texas besides show that he was a better athlete than Ewers was with his legs.

why do you guys hold Micah responsible for all the teams problems? is he that unlikable?
For me, no, I like him. Bought his jersey. At this point though, he's their biggest chip to gain the max amount of assets to improve the team as a whole. It will never happen though.

so we lose an all pro and can improve how? the draft is complete crap shoot.i won't be surprised if Eze is a better pass rusher than most guys drafted in the first rd.

Maybe. It all depends on how this year turns out, and does he fit what we wanna be? Or is it about his Brand? That matters.

The only way I trade Micah is if I can get the Manning kid. I give Micah a 4 year contract right now with a trade option.

It definitely is, but more assets, especially higher draft picks, give you more chances to fill all the areas the team needs to improve on vs just having a good pass rusher. Besides, how far you think this team will go continuing to pay all their high priority players top dollar? JJ doesn't care and will focus on the best bandaids available to appease the fans and put a product on the field to keep the revenue flowing. That's why I said, it won't happen, but its probably a smart move to make with the team's makeup.

BTW wouldn't have gotten those 3 rings in the 90's without the draft picks. Definitely wouldn't be a HWalker trade and there is no Jimmy but... you see what the possibilities could be if you had a competent front office/coach to make these kinds of decisions and plan accordingly.

What is so hard to believe about that. The rams trade their top picks all the time. Over the years they have traded
A 2nd for Sammy Watkins
A 2nd and 4th for Marcus Peters
A 1st for Brandon Cooks
A 3rd and 5th for Dante Fowler
Two 1st's and a 4th for Jalen Ramsey
Two 1st's and a 3rd for Matthew Stafford
A 2nd and 3rd rounder for Von Miller

They have picked in the 1st round just 1 time since 2017. DE Jared Verse(24).

If any team had the gusto to pull a trade like this off, it would be the Rams; they would top the list.

This may also be Stafford's last year. He could Retire and open up significant cap space for them to sign Micah to an extension.

The likelihood of this happening is probably very low. Were just brainstorming here.
Fair enough.

The rams...seem to have a track record. So then...what is Jerry's? What super quality trades does HE make...on either side?

Your right about that. Jerry probably wouldn't make a high profile trade. Galloway and Roy Williams didn't work out so he might shy away from trading. The Deion and Walker trades really worked for him but that was so long ago. Dallas likes their guys and usually pay their own.

He might do it for draft picks, since they are obsessed with trying to only build through the draft. Will he do it? Probably not. I would trade him. As soon as he gets paid, he will turn into a pumpkin. It happens to often, a player gets their money and are set for life. Then they loose interest in the game and have nothing to play for.

Micah is our best player and his new contract will be very costly. The Browns have 2 First Round Picks next year. You could use these picks to move up to get Arch Manning or make deals multiple draft picks in the Day 2 & 3 and set us up with a bonanza of future key players. Would you do it?
If I knew for sure Archie was coming out and I could get this first pick then yes 100%

Whenever a team offers 2 #1s for anyone who isn't a QB, you take it.
You don't have to use them next draft; smart teams turn an extra pick into more picks the following year. Most of the time #1s gives you 4 first round picks in 2 years...2+2. You can use them one year if it makes sense, or you can use them for more picks.

Start stockpiling some draft capital for when it's time to go get a legit contender who might be your next franchise QB. That time is likely only 2-3 years away.

I like the strategy of trading forward in the draft to accumulate more draft capital.

Imagine if a team traded its 2nd rounder for a 1st rounder in the following year's draft. Now imagine doing that every single year. The cost would be a lost second rounder in year one. The payoff would be two first round draft picks (instead of a 1 and a 2) in every single subsequent year.

Draft capital can be "invested" just like money.

finding franchise QBs is not easy, the Bears are trying forever and i dont think even Caleb Williams is it.

Diggs is a great example. Dallas could have "sold high"- trading Diggs when he was peaking. Instead, Dallas signed him to a massive contract, only to watch injury and decline. Now folks can't wait to get rid of him fast enough!

Dallas will make the same mistake with Parsons. Mark my words.
