Ouch, that one struck a nerve I'd guess.

HeavyHitta31;1209614 said:First of all, TO has 11 drops, so if he had 6 more catches, that would put him at 75, not the league leader.
Second, Roy Williams gets more passes thrown his way every game
summerisfunner;1209621 said:he came close, actually was the best player on the field in that game

HeavyHitta31;1209638 said:No, I just like the posts I read to make sense
ABQCOWBOY;1209637 said:I'd agree with you Summer. All I'm saying is that Roy Williams guaranting a win ro points is not unique. It happens and it's happened to TO many times. TO has done these same kinds of things. This is not a reason to say one is better then the other. Shockey said we would never win in NY. Well, we did. He's an *** but he's also a great player. Just the way it works unfortunatly.
ABQCOWBOY;1209644 said:I think what you ment to say here is that you just like them to agree with you particular brand of sense. I would hold my breath on that one.
BTW, how you coming on that stat?
ABQCOWBOY;1209642 said:No HH, just you.

summerisfunner;1209643 said:yeah, don't get why this is a point of argument, it's not like one player determines the outcome of games, esp. what they say
hell, I'd take both TO and Roy on my team anyday, and Glenn, can you imagine that roster?
Danny White;1209658 said:Mike Williams, however, could probably be had for a ham-sandwich, as he's currently getting beat out by a Backup QB on Detoit's WR depth-chart.
ABQCOWBOY;1209661 said:Age is what the deciding factor is in any trade consideration, such as this. Roy Williams has years left to get better. TO is near the end.

Again, I doubt you realize the massive beatdown you just personally brought upon yourself. Thanks for proving my point. You are simply too much.

HeavyHitta31;1209647 said:TO never aguranteed a win in that game, he said he would bring a SB to Philly. And to add to that, Roy Williams, after assuring us of a 40 point outburst and win, got beat 34 to 7. TO almost single handidly brought a championship to Philly.

ABQCOWBOY;1209669 said:Sounds like a very long winded way of saying that he promised something and failed. OK then.
ABQCOWBOY;1209661 said:I don't love TO but i recognize that he has been a great player. If I were able to take one, right now, I'd take Roy Williams. He's younger, he's producing in a bad offense and he's not a bad guy. Yeah, he made a stupid statement but it's not like he's on the front pages week to week.
How intelligent is this BS about how much better TO is then Roy Williams?
Here are TO's statistics in his first 3 years and Roy Williams' stats with 3 seasons not yet completed.
TO
Yds 2553, TDs 26, Rec 162, Avg 15.75.
Roy
Yds 2547, TDs 20, Rec 162, Avg 15.7
Honestly, it's rediculous to say that TO is the better WR. Age is what the deciding factor is in any trade consideration, such as this. Roy Williams has years left to get better. TO is near the end.
But TO had to play with Jerry Rice. Obviously that made it much harder.ABQCOWBOY;1209661 said:I don't love TO but i recognize that he has been a great player.
