Would you want Randy Moss here?

maybe the Raiders are looking get rid of Moss and sign TO.....since Moss hasn't produced for them
as for us, i don't think Moss and BP could co-exist. BP gets along with Key because Key works his butt off. Moss won't do that.
I think TO and BP would have a better shot at having a working relationship.
Frankly, both of them make me puke. My two most loathed players in the entire league.

what did Moss ever "win"

ROTF.

He wins a lot of football games. On the right team with the right atmosphere... he could help win a Super Bowl. I wouldn't mind if it was with us.

He can literally carry a team on his back and lead them to a victory. If you deny that much, then you're blind.

I too think TO is much more the complete player. But imo his psychological issues are too big for Tuna to deal with.

Moss I think Bill could handle..and there are enough of his guys here now like Dan and Key and Drew to make Moss tow the line when it comes to general behavior.

I don't know, tho, if Moss' inherent laziness is an intractable as TO's issues. A couple of plays taken off and Tuna would blow a fuse, and a costly Moss would not be as easy to unload as Price was.

Overall tho, I'd take the gamble (with Jerry's money and Bill's time.)

Do we want to win? Yes

Is Moss a winner? Yes

Moss is the most talented receiver in the league. After he signed his big contract in 01, his team is 32-56. Hardly a winner.

Seems a bit contradictory. If he can carry a team on his back and lead them to victory, then why does he have to be on the right team with the right atmosphere? Seems like he should be able to do it no matter what team he is on. I think that is why there were some so called experts picking Oakland to go to the Superbowl or at least win the division. I haven't seen Moss carrying the Raiders.

I think he is very talented and perhaps the most physically talented guy to play receiver in the NFL. It takes more than just physical talent.

I am not saying do not sign Moss. I just don't think it is cut and dry that you do sign him. If that were the case, Dallas would have drafted him in 1998.

I would take Owens much faster than Moss. You know what you get from Owens. He doesn't drink, he doesn't do drugs. He will be in the Gym as much as you ask him to be and then some. He will study game film constantly. He will work harder than anyone on this team. Pay him his money, don't let him talk to the media, and let him celebrate and you got the perfect setting for TO. BP likes players who already have a hard work ethic (which TO has) not ones he has to try and see if he can give it to. BP is more than willing to let players hot dog as long as the work hard, do as they are told and stay out of trouble. TO will do that and more for BP.

Moss on the other hand will make huge down field plays, but his work ethic sucks he wont put the effort BP wants him to put in. I am pretty sure he freely admitting smiking weed. BP wont' tolerat ethat. I can definatly see KJ and TO getting along. After all BP plays the percentages and the long pass to Moss is just not high percentage football. Short to medium passes to TO and the YAC he will get you are.

How do you keep T.O. from talking to the media?

Easy, BP has a team rule already that players do not talk to the media unles they are given permission. Anyone notice the lack of player comments this year?

TO has his own website. That isn't talking to the media.

Interesting comments on this thread, because although I wouldn't want either one of them, IMO Owens is much worse than Moss. Moss doesn't block and doesn't always put out maximum effort, and that's not good. But he also doesn't wreck teams, ***** for attention 24/7, or purposely screw up teammates.

I'd never, ever have T.O. on my team, while I might at least consider Moss.

Well said.

I'm far from crazy about Moss' 'tude, but I could live with him coming here and facing constant double teams. ;)

I would jump at Randy and he would love to have a star on his helmet.
