Am I the only person not all that disappointed by the game today?

I said in a morning post that we were the underdogs.

OL...Giants win hands down...these guys have protected Manning well all season, while we did get pretty good pressure on him at times today.

RB...Tiki gets the nod due to his OL and experience.

WR...Toomer and Burress don't take a back seat to Glenn and Keyshaun...close call.

TE...Shockey leads the league in TDs and has been huge lately...we love Witten, but Shockey turns in more big plays down field because he's more athletic, not to mention we currently need our guy to block.

QB...I'll take Bledsoe's experience and accuracy, but Eli is much more mobile.

I'll take their DL and LBs over ours...we love our youth, but Strayhan and his unspellable partner are the real deal...their front 7 is very tough.

DB....we win this one, and it showed today.

We didn't just lose the first half...we got our butts whipped as badly as you can get it whipped in the NFL and we were lucky to be down 10-0 instead of 21-0.

But fellas...we turned that huge disasterous mess around in the 2nd half, despite the worst start to a 3rd quarter anyone could ever describe, finding ourselves down 17-0...it looked like the whuppin was on.

I'm sooo proud of how our offense and defense responded. The defense pitched a shutout in the 2nd half...that's darned impressive with all the weapons the G-men have, not to mention some pretty nice field position. Aaron Glenn's int's were awesome, and we had another one overturned on penalty.

The offense got untracked...look at the offensive yardage...almost all of it came in the 2nd half fellas, against a defense that had a perfect game plan and execution in the first half. We came back, made a game of it, and had our chances to tie the game.

We're playing a late round afterthought at RT who was never supposed to start...a LT who was an undrafted FA whom everyone wanted cut in camp, and we found a way to protect Bledsoe in the 2nd half...Bledsoe had one of his less accurate passing days, exhibited the yipps a few times, but got us back in the game with gritty play after being hit almost every play in the first half. We found a way to pass protect, we made plays, we moved the ball, and we made a game of it in NY after dropping back 17-0 on the road.

I understand everyone's disappointment...I'm sure the players feel awful, but this is a tough bunch of guys who keep fighting. I think today's game and the way we came back to compete is something to build upon...I can assure you the Giants were plenty worried with 12 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

If I have any sour taste in my mouth after the first half of football, it's that 3rd and 1 pass Parcells let Peyton call. We had the Giants on their heels with turnovers, 10 points, and a bit of running and passing...their defense had been on the field quite a bit...we'd converted in short yardage previously with Barber....so on 3rd and 1, we suddenly drop back and heave it downfield, have to punt and get screwed by McBriar's shank with the wind at his back.

BP may have been yelling at McBriar, but that was the worst call of the game, imo...we had em on the ropes...that was not the time to gamble on 3rd and 1, imo.

Overall, while I hate the loss, I love the way our team battled back on offense and defense...this one could have been a blowout otherwise. Other than the freak TD we gave their defense, they won the first half 10-0, and we won the 2nd half 10-0. It's tough to win on the road against a quality team, but we turned a disasterous blowout into an exciting finish.

I'll also say I think we win big next week vs. KC.

Our defense will control their running game, just as we controlled every other running game this season, including Denver's.

Our offense will have some fun with that KC defense...This is a get well game, imo.

How can you NOT be all that disappointed by this loss????

That makes NO sense at all, whatsoever.

Bledsoe didn't get anything back in the game except the Giants. If you're talking about our only touchdown, that was Aaron Glenn. The Giants tried to give us the win and we handed it back to them.

C'mon wayne, you know how it is....

If we beat Kansas City next week, Bledsoe will be the toast of the town again.

Bledsoe has to sit in the basement and be punished for his bad play, along with the rest of the team.

We are still in the hunt for this thing.

Everyone is forgetting one thing. The Giants may not win the rest of their games either. Nor Minny, Nor ATL, nor...errr...Nevermind.

Bottom line, if we beat KC, were 8-5. As a matter of fact, we still will be in the hunt if we lose next week because of the other goings on in the universe that is the NFL.

Accuracy of Bledsoe? Are you ok?
I'm not sure....I have no idea what you're referring to in my thread...Bledsoe has been very accurate this year, but I said he had one of his less accurate days today....???

I do not believe this team can beat KC. Trent Green (who is a much better QB than Eli Manning) will easily lead his team to more points than our offense can match. There is no joy in Muddville.

I am not disappointed with the team overall. I am disappointed with the conservative play calling. (I know that will shock some of you). Also, I am disappointed that this team let the best kicking coach in the league go. I believe that if he still had Hoffman, we would have at least two more wins.

I believe we are playing about one notch above where I thought we would be at the beginning of camp. I also think we are on track to make a major impact next year, providing we shore up the O-Line.

I disagree SArge, unless you cry over every loss.

Did our defense shut them out in the 2nd half? did we regroup, move the ball much better and put up 10 points in the 2nd half? Did we have a chance to tie the game throughout the 4th quarter?

We are what we are...anyone who is overly disappointed just wasn't realistic and actually thought we were a SB contender...that's what makes no sense at all considering the way our OL has played all season.

When was the last time you saw us down by 17 and totally manhandled and actually come back and make a game of it, Sarge? You've been a Cowboy fan a long time....but I'm sure you have to dip back a ways to find a game that began this way that didn't end up a blowout.

I was happy with the way our guys came back.

That's just silly.....did Aaron Glenn throw the pass called "perfect" by Aikman?

Eli played horrible and they still won. There is absolutely no moral victories in this game. None.

Wayne....our offense put up 3 whole points. The 7 came on a 7 yard drive! What exactly do you see in that to make you optimistic for the next 4 games?

Bravo, Wayne.

At the half time I honestly feared our season was over..we were horse whupped that convincingly.

But tho the loss stings, and could end up critical, that second half illustrated some mettle, resiliance, and enough willpower to get up another morning.

At that half..the blow looked fatal.

I'll tell you what, Mick....anyone who blames this loss on Bledsoe is totally out in right field...he was one beaten up guy in the first half...he got mauled on a 3 step drop and even hit and tackled while trying to hand off on a run play....lol. Troy Aikman would have had trouble with that pass blocking today.

I will have to give the team credit and that is again they did not give up and fold. I've said it many times this season.....they have no quit in them.
