He is looking like a future all-pro. Dam he has turned out good, its amazing to think a year ago he was in a competition with scandrick

Those plays reminded me of Romo going to Hurd twice against Champ Bailey. Why would you do that?

Their WR bobbled the first attempt. He should have caught it. Jenkins didn't jar it loose or anything. Jenkins had solid coverage.... but he didn't make the play there. The WR just dropped the ball.

He was being blanketed by Jenkins, not alot of recievers can make catches with a DB as fast as Jenkins literally on top of them as the ball hits their fingertips.

He should have caught it and did bobble it but Jenkins made sure he didn't catch it at the end by getting his hand in there. Hurd did the same thing, on one of the catches it was in his hands then knocked out.

He's a great corner, but like someone mentioned, that one attempt was just plain dropped. Should have been caught, and if it was this thread doesn't exist.

Love me some Mike Jenkins though, I think he's right there in the conversation for our 2nd best defensive player, even though Ratliff probably has the edge on him still.

I think he's a great talent but he was covering a nobody, I was really bothered about how santana moss kept getting open

I thought the same thing on the first play, but after another look I believe Jenkins did knock the ball away. I think the bobble contributed to it though because if the receiver had secured the ball immediately Jenkins wouldn't have had the opportunity, but I think that had Jenkins not got a hand in during the bobble the receiver still would have had a chance to pull it in.

Correct, the second pass defensed was more legit than the first.

Jenkins and Newman both played well. Scandrick was there, but a step late stilll every play.

I think Jenkins is the best corner on the team... He's got a natural feel for the ball while it's in the air.

Yeah, it is nice to see him playing so well.

It is easy to forget that kind of thing after a mind-numbing loss. But he's top-notch.

The thing I like seeing on the second one was that he recognized he didn't have a chance to knock the ball away, so he focused on the receiver and didn't give him a chance to pull the ball in. For him to see that and react accordingly was pretty impressive.
