it's not a trend they lost one game. most teams will have trouble winning if you pressure the qb. look at us last December when Romo was running for his life.

Its not a trend because no one was able to capitalize on it that year.

Thats what trends mean. When a team gets beat throughout the year ..... you will see a resemblance in how they lost.

That why you here the tired "they figured them out" phrase.

We lost in 2006 on a boggled snap and the Terry Glenn fumble.

We lost in 2007 because our receivers could not get open vs the Giants for the big play.

We lost in 2008 because of injuries plain and simple ..... Romo was a wreck physically in that game.

Thats not a trend ..... thats just losing.

2006 and 2007 were because of sloppy play and our own mistakes. 2008 injuries hurt but that's part of the game. we had our shot even with the injuries going into our last game. we lost to Pitt cause Romo made poor throws(own mistake). we lost to Baltimore cause we couldn't tackle and stop runs we knew were coming(own mistakes). we lost to philly because the team quit(own decision). Seattle won because we put the ball on the ground. both those fumbles were not forced. we lost to the giants because the o-line forgot how to play in the 4th and fasano and Crayton forgot how to catch a football.

None of those things you named (though I disagree with the reasons for why we lost) are a trend.

Unless the trend you are talking about is poor head coaching .... and in that I agree.

I want Wade gone as much as ANYONE else .... trust me .... I just refuse to spam the board about it and take it out on the fans who are trying to keep positive.

But the 2008 crumble was caused by injuries to our most important offensive player ...... Tony Romo that he never had time to recover from.

And that is just the honest to God truth.

the trend is we keep making too many unforced mistakes. part of it is coaching and part of it is the players not doing their jobs(bad throws, not blocking, not tackling etc.)

I want Wade gone too.

nothing is gonna change people from "spamming the board" for many reasons. I do it to vent because I only talk to 3 cowboy fans living in my area in NY. my best Friend, My mother and a friend I met out in Dallas last year who lives in DC.

like I said the injuries hurt but we still had a shot and they blew it with dumb mistakes again.

We are discussing football tendencies here

Oh really?

You mean like you are doing with anyone who has something negative to say about the cowboys RoyWilliams31?

Nope ..... thats not my style.

I will admit that I enjoy slapping you crybabies around ..... and enjoy seeing it done.

You have been complaining, crying, and moaning ever since you joined up.

Nobody here believes this "I am just disappointed about the last game" bullcrap.

Give me a break ..... or better yet look at your history.

I have tried having real conversations with you in the past .... you proved to be incapable of doing it (just like your partner), so now you get this.

I do not need to prove you are doing exactly what the original thread topic says.

Overreacting to one loss. Its what your history proves you do.

Its true .... sorry you do not know enough about the game to realize that.

Nice try though...

:lmao:

In the broadest perspective the one main trend in Dallas is not winning play-off games since Jimmy Johnsons' Cowboys Team was dispanded.

Jerry Jones has tried for 13 years to field a team that could win in the Play-Offs without the direct help of the Jimster.

"Jones way" simply never worked, the only thing Jerry accomplished in 13 years is surpreme FAIL, that's the big picture.

We've got a long way to go before we find out if we've managed to reverse the playoff-loss trend. We've not had problems winning regular season games, and losing a last-second game to an NFC contender in week two doesn't qualify in any meaningful way as a trend. Even the mistakes we made and the areas we were exposed were different from week one.

The only thing the loss meant was another opportunity for a bunch of muck-raking whiners to pat each other on the back for takes that are either ignorant or obvious to anybody with a lick of sense. Congratulations, wangstaz. Don't get winded on your victory lap because there will be plenty more stuff for you to overreact to Mon night.

In the last 13 years Dallas has ceratainly had plenty of problems winning regular season games, this season is already mirroring the weak mindedness at the end of games that has plagued this team for over a Decade.

Weak mindedness stems straight from the team leader Phantom Head Coach Jerry Jones and the entire league players and personel alike know what to do every Sunday especially the NFC East. It's the same ol' same ol' and really gotton unpaletable over the years of being force fed the same skimpy bland dish.

Whoah, there. You're going way off your speaking points. The accepted criticism of Wade Phillips is that we don't care how many regular season games he wins, and we pay no attention to his won/loss record. We pile on him for not winning when it counts in the playoffs.

Same with Tony Romo. His September record doesn't matter at all. It's how he plays in December and/or in big games that we we complain about. And we get to define big games in whatever manner is most convenient.

If you're going to go way off-script, I'm going to get confused about where we are on the teeter-totter ride here at the playground and somebody's going to get hurt.

It ultimately does ride and fall on what happens at the end of the year and playoffs. But it's also possible to see in Sept. similarities in regards to the teams play to that of certain games the last few years.

The trend to me is
poor throws by Romo / turnovers
Penalties
Defenses inability to make a stop when the game is on the line

That is what Ive been saying for numerous years. Unless this team figures out a way to stop the trend it is just going to be more heart ache and disappointment.

We've had eight penalties in two games -- second in the NFL for fewest penalties.

Every team in the league has a "trend" on how they lose games unless they win the Superbowl.

Dude.

This might be one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever heard.
