the entire football world agreed that we needed DTs, LBs, Safties....but yeah, lets go get a WR2....

we also needed a TE, a RT, and Slot CB........

this offense was 11th last year in passing. because they lacked a running game. we threw 4 RBs at the problem, 2 in the draft.

you just got a 1 year rental. if we don't win a championship, then it was not the right trade.

and I guess they shipped pickens some of the Cowboys koolaids, because he is now a top 10 WR, where last year he was 59th in catches, 32nd in yards. 82nd in TDs...

I am excited about season. just like any other year. I just don't see a championship team. I see a collection of 53 players, some of whom were brought onboard just to check the roster list and make sure its filled. if we do succeed and make it to CCG, then I will eat crow and apologize to everyone. once a week, for all off season.

that's the mistake. not wanting to admin Mazi is a failed pick and sticking to it until end of contract regardless of the play. that's what Jerry does. he is spending money and 1st round pick for Mazi, and doesn't want to pay more, get an actual starter and Mazi being back up which is all he deserve.

Hooker and Wilson are below average Safties. their backups even worse.

I would put DT, LB, Saftey as bigger need than WR. does it make the offense better? my issue with this trade is that its a one year deal. was this team one player away from being a championship team? if not, then why make this move. traded a mid to high 3rd round pick for an essentially 4th round pick.

Hooker and Wilson are quite literally league average based on every metric. Could they be replaced? Sure. And yes of course a legit #2 receiver makes the offense better. And we have no idea what will happen with his contract. May be a one year rental, we may resign him.

DT’s better than Mazi don’t hit FA. At least he is still considered young. This is probably a make or break year for him. But you act like we didn’t literally hand out a substantial contract at DT (Osa). We drafted a nose tackle late bc we know it’s an issue but we couldn’t accomplish everything this year. Plus good run stopping DT’s are much harder to come by than starting receivers

He will probably go AWOL again if things start going south during the season. Then its all rah-rah in the offseason.

We said the same thing last year and the year before and the year before that...we can't accomplish it all in one year. But when you don't have a plan and just go year to year you end up like the Cowboys.

I do think the offense will be better. I don't think we are a championship caliber team. If this was a one year rental it was a bad move. And we could have tried and traded for a DT or LB. But apparently all they thought about was WR.

We didn’t even consider chasing Kinlaw in off season.
