I think this stems from when he tore his Achilles on our new turf several years ago. You know he got several calls from Jerry and people in the organzation. That's just how we do things.

Trent also said that he thought New Orleans would pound New England! He strikes me as someone who does his work diligently, uncovers nuances in what he's studying, and speaks truthfully about what he sees. Whether he's a Cowboys fan or not, it's refreshing to listen to an analyst without a supposed agenda.

Indeed...he speaks well for one thing but he's also the most objective guy they have. He's been critical of the Cowboys and of Romo as much as he has said good things.

I just heard him say on SportsCenter that he thinks Dallas' December woes are over, and he can't wait to see the cowboys go into New York and pound the Giants.

I know it does not mean anything, but it sure was nice to hear some support.

Don't know about you, but Dilfer is the absolute best ESPN football analyst. He should be on Monday Night Countdown and replace Keyshawn or Cris Carter.

Of course we love him. He's the only one who talks highly of the Cowboys on BSPN lol. I mean let's be real here. We have no idea if he's a good or bad columnist. We just hear him say good things about the Cowboys and we're satisifed lol.

Yep. What I love about his criticism, though, is that it's based on things he actually sees as opposed to just repeating the words "December," "Jessica," and "Cabo."

Very true. That is why I respect his opinion. He is fair in his criticism and praise.That is all you can ask for in an analyst.
