Wow Vince Young on PTI

Wow they asked him if he was planning to come out, he said " IIIIIIIIIIIII dont know yeeeeeet" then changed the subject to trying to have great memories this year, and it actually looks like he had changed his earlier stance of staying for his senior year. Sounds like Vince Young could definitely be coming out this year.
They asked him if he would like to play for the houston texans and he said he would like to play for the hometown team. not that I think the texans will take him, but it really looked like he had already made the decision in his head that he was gonna declare. Wouldlove this guy playing for the other hometown team, the Dallas Cowboys, especially since he would not have to start right away. :starspin

I think you took it a little far with the prediction. (no offense) It sound more like a guy who is tired of talking about it, and didnt give a clear indication either way. He sounded open minded about either poosibility. Personally I think if they win the championship and/or he gets the Heisman, he'll declare, otherwise he'll stay and try again!! Cant argue with the success Leinhart had with staying another year......

I agree with the part where if he wins the Heisman or National championship then he's definitely coming out. I think he still may even if neither of those happen. I personally like the guy a lot, and I think Dallas would be the ideal situation for him. A good defense and a really good veteran QB to start for him so he can ride the pine and learn how to be a real QB. Parcells will make him great.

Houston may be likely simply because of the hometown connection and he'd be a huge star there. Arizona is also an obvious choice. Dolphins have a huge need for a QB. Titans if they dont get Leinart. Detroit maybe now with the all the crap going on there now. Oakland could definitely use him and make him like Culpepper was in Minnesota with Randy Moss.

as for Minnesota as a team for Young, Culpepper's numbers were horendous way before he got hurt.....with Moss he'd throw it up there and Moss would go get it. I think he's not that great of a QB myself, sure he can run, but when is the last time you saw a running QB win the SB? I think Young has more tools than Culpepper, and with Minny faultering, I dont know if Tice will be there next year, who knows, the new coach could clean house, just a thought!!

That may all be true but it doesn't mean **** to whether the Vikings continue with Culpepper.

You consider Culpepper a running QB, but not Young. That is interesting.
