WR and play calling corps let the team down

I counted easily 5 dropped passes yesterday, two of which should have been TDs (Beasley and Dez). The bone head move at the end was just another way the WR let Dak down. Pathetic all the way around.

The play calling again killed us. We gave up on the run early in the fourth and allowed NY to get great field position on the final drive. We cannot double another teams TOP and be behind. Unacceptable. Yes Zeke got bottled up but Morris was looking great.

And let's not forget the human turnstile Doug Free. I have never liked him and he was the weak link in the line yesterday.

Overall, we let another game we should have won get away from us. Same as last year.

Yep.. We can constantly give Jason credit for getting guys to play hard but just playing hard is some Cleveland Brown BS..

Dallas HAS to be about results and production. Getting guys to play hard should be the bare minimum.

Also, being in every game means nothing. The margin of victory in the NFL is around 7 points. Nobody is getting consistently blown out.

We'll just stick all this under one category: Red Zone Offense, and it was a big reason they lost.

I half wanted them to just take a 10 yard penalty in the redzone and try from there. They were marching up and down the field, but as soon as they got in the redzone, things went south real quick.

probably an unpopular opinion, but I think we need a Y receiver with more size. Beasley is too small of a target.

Why is no one talking about how Garrett failed to properly call a timeout right before the two minute warning at the end of the game? That one missed timeout cost us the end of the game.

Multiple receivers were purposefully going down in bounds to keep the clock running. Its like they were playing for the other team. This is a poorly coached team. Dumb coach dumb players.

There's no reason why Witten and Beasley should have 14 and 12 targets. The Witten/Beasley "security blanket" type of passing game will hold the offense back.

Beasley specifically gets open because he is small and quick and no one can cover him. Then you have the tall Witten underneath as well. They are a perfect compliment to one another.

The 90's Cowboys offense woulda ran it in the redzone. There's been a lot of debate about which offense is better: these Cowboys vs 90's Cowboys. Several threads. Pleeeeeeease. Daryl woulda paved emmits way to 7 every time. Or Mike woulda caught a slant for 7. Or jay woulda just jumped over someone. Lol

Dak's passes were high on a few of those throws, not just for Beasley, but for most receivers 6 feet and under. It's an adjustment Dak will have to make, but it's clear he's comfortable throwing to Beasley otherwise.

It's a different league.. It's all about the big play both offensively and defensively.

Make the explosive play and don't give up the explosive play.

Dallas controlled the entire game.. No explosive plays.

Play Calling after we took the lead was atrocious. We leaned on them the entire first half even though we weren't gaining yards. Our first drive of the second half, we have a couple of nice runs, an 8 yarder, a short yardage conversion and then the 8 yd TD run. We should have deflated the ball then and never threw it again. Just keep pounding that DL into submission. We did the opposite. We put the ball in Dak's hands and said let's throw it all over the field. With predictable results.

Of course, not sure if the defensive play calls were bad or guys just can't execute, but at the end of the game when we knew they were going to run we still gave up yards. Same play several times too.

I'm guessing no one is talking about this because we were out of timeouts.

The defense gave up running 1st downs repeatedly on that last drive. No one should have any issue with Garrett's timeout calling.

Exactly. Anyone who actually watched the game saw this.

I thought it was the worst game by our offensive skills players (WR/TE/RB outside of Morris) in quite some time.

Some basic plays were made but everyone had bad mistakes or didn't execute. Witten whiffed blocks, and why in gods name we are designing short screens/flares to him I have zero idea.

We had one timeout and we used it after the next play. Garrett bumbled it plain as day.

Take what the defense gives you remember?
