WR Comparison

. If we aren't bringing back Cobb or Cooper, then WR becomes a priority.
I am hoping we bring both Cobb and Cooper back. Gives us more flexibility in the draft to score DT and Safety if we don’t get one or both in FA. Assuming we cut Crawford and free up another 8 million. That should pay Cobb and leave enough to send me and you a million.:lmao2:

I'm not sure what would be sweeter, the winning, or throwing it in the face of the Dez-bashing, Jason Garrett apologists?
I just want to win. When someone don’t like a player then it don’t matter what they do, they will find something to hate on them for.

Cutting Crawford allows this team to pay for an actual defensive lineman with an actual starting position.

No other team is wasting $10 million in cap space for a part-timer.

Because it's dumb!

I know we need a DT but would like to bring Quinn back. But can we find a immediate impact DT in the draft.

And I can honestly see why some fans would have issues with Dez. He's not slick, or politically correct or savvy. He wears his heart on his sleeve, along with his emotions. Sometimes he lets them get the better of him. But a "bad guy"? No, no way. The "bad guy" is the sneak that operates behind people's backs without the guts to say anything to their face. I'll let anyone reading decide who that guy is.

Potentially, if they went there in round 1. But this year presents a very good crop of free agent defensive tackles as well. If you dump Crawford, I think you would ultimately be able to re-sign Quinn and pay someone in free agency.

This why I am down for a try out. Minimum money and if he can ball out then you have a seasoned pro that is a absolute beast to bring down. And I watched Dak over throw Cooper 3 or 4 times this year on a 15 of 20 yard pass that he was standing there open and each time I thought of Cooper got his hand on it then Dez could have plucked it out of the air at least 2 of the 4 times.

One thing I like about our FO is there ability to get some of these talents on 1 or 2 year prove it deals. Can Hill improve productivity is he a bust.

Bottom line is that there is a role on this or another team for a player with Dez Bryant's abilities. And he's begging to come back to this team. If the Cowboys aren't smart enough to give him an opportunity, someone else will. And they will get a strong, physical possession receiver with great hands, to match up against your 3rd and 4th cornerback. And they will look smart while you once again look dumb.

He's a bust until further notice. And his "Daddy" has left town. And left the Cowboys trying to repair the damage he's done.

Trysten Hill is another huge bust until Trysten Hill proves otherwise.

That looks like the white flag of surrender that I'm seeing.
:flagwave:

Good work.

No white flag here..
Lets take a look at two teams...
KC - Mecole Hardman round 2 - 24th pick
Tenn - AJ Borwn round 2 - 19th pick
Do you think those two teams are stagnating their WR development by bringing in a Dez Bryant?
Do you know the difference that those two rookie WRs made on their respective teams this year, and how much of difference that those two players will make on their respective teams going forward?

He looks to be in shape and serious about making a last run at it. If he is aloud to be working out at the star then I am guessing SJ and JJ are watching.

Would be interesting to see a coach adopt the George Allen approach and put together an new "Over-the-Hill Gang." Experience over youth is not a bad thing you know. And it must work. 14 years, 4 teams and never finished in the cellar with his worst season being 8-6 and a .721 winning percentage.

I wondered because I know it takes a year for some to show improvement. I think this DC and staff aren’t going to have the country club atmosphere and some of these players will either snap into shape or be very unhappy. Lol.

So what are you saying? That this team should follow up using their 2018 3rd round pick and 2019 1st round pick to use yet another premium pick on a wide receiver?

Based on all indications and reports, Hill didn't even try. And the guy that campaigned to draft him gave up on him.

This coaching staff isn't responsible for Hill and they're not stuck with him. The people who are have already been fired. He either gets it or he gets gone, and the onus is on him to change the narrative on him and his career.

I am not paying either until I get more fill in information.

What kind of O am I running? What's my % or pass/run? How important is blocking to the position or is decoy and drawing doubles more the duty? Who are my other WR's? What's the ancillary effect of this WR, does he draw additional coverage and make my offense work better or just catch passes? What FA WR's are coming out? How deep is this draft in WR's and how deep am I picking.

There are two positions that I would seldom even consider giving a 2nd contract to, RB and WR. They are too plentiful and too often injured. I would alternate drafting them on the second day in every draft.

Stephen has already said they've been in contact. But I'm fine with letting it be McCarthy's call on it happening or not. I can see the positives, but if the head coach says no, I respect the decision and the chain of command.

So you really don't know anything about the draft, or the process, because if you did, you would realize that this years WR class is deeper than last years, and I just provided to 2nd round picks from last year.
We do have a 1st round pick this year,, why would you spend a first round pick on a WR in a draft that is loaded deep with talent at the position.
The draft is much deeper than just your first round pick... quit putting words in a post that I never posted.
If you consider a premium pick at a position that would result in a premium player, why wouldn't you?
Your deflecting on the point of wanting to sign Dez….. that's the point!

I'm asking you what you're getting at!

And you still haven't been able to clear that up at all. Say what you mean, don't insinuate and then talk about what you didn't say.

What do you want to do?
