Ok so I checked out how old you are.

You ARE young enough to possibly see it happen.

"Things" are advancing "exponentially" not so much "linearly" anymore. What used to take decades to advance now takes a few years tops.

That's not true at all. In most events the new world record times are coming in smaller increments than they used to.
