WR Options

they need a slot guy with speed that can play outside in a pinch, richardson is that.

plus saying we don't need x player because we already have y and z mediocre player is how you set your team up for failure.

I'm all for BPA if a player is definitely on a tier above others. I'm all for drafting that player despite the players on the roster, in general; however, there are likely to be other players on the same tier when these slot WRs are available. With this super deep WR draft, it's unlikely that you won't have multiple choices from big to small at WR with any of the Cowboys picks.

My response was in reference to targeting a specific player. I wouldn't target a small WR. The alternative to BPA is trading. You can trade around to match BPA with need. That's basically what Jimmy did.

Very deep WR class this year. Who do you like and were do you see the Cowboys taking them?

My top receiver option for the Cowboys in each round.

2nd Round: Marqise Lee

3rd Round: Paul Richardson

4th Round: Josh Huff

5th Round: Brandon Coleman

I don't agree completely. I do think from time to time you see a player with a superior set of skills who is very fast, quick and has the quicks (not sure I can explain the difference in the latter two). I wouldn't even take a player like that too early because they are specialized and quite often don't get the number of snaps you get from a more prototypical and skilled player. For every Sproles there are more failures.

I mentioned a few but you can get D'Anthony Thomas later on. His combine speed was 'just' 4.50 but he's faster than that.

I don't see Jason Garrett spending a pick on a player like that though unless he as a 7th to throw away. There are too many needs and chances are a player(s) in a tier will fit a need(s).

so Dez or Williams get hurt - who we got to back them up]

I am a big fan of Norwood love his hands was ALA go to guy when they needed aa big play - who is now a 4th rder started the year as a 7 th

Janis - not a big fan

Bad habit of rounding some routes and will try to freelance too much. Will have some double-catches and fight the ball at times. Hand/eye coordination appears to very average. Limited after the catch and lacks suddenness in space to create much separation

needs to be more reliable finishing catches and gaining separation to be reliable.

Me i really like Huff. He has speed and the size to play inside and outside.

he really isn't that small unless you only want 6'2"+. I just feel richardson is what we need, somebody that can take the top off the D and keep the safety in the center of the field to give dez more one on one opportunities.

also when you aren't linking BTB articles alot of what you say mirrors recent BTB articles, not sure if just coincidence or if you you just happen to share very similar thoughts with them or if you read them and come on here and regurgitate it.

round 5 or later (if at all)...I just can't see it this year....

Richardson is pretty slight. He's quick as a light switch but he's really lite. I'd be shocked if he was a 170 lbs.

I think Montcreif, not sure he will last to the 3rd. I saw that scouts said he was "soft" but he is still a speedster, and is decently big.

I think you have the wrong CZ member in mind. I've never linked a BTB article.

I sounds like you do agree.

Spags has an article today advocating for taking beckham at 16

175 at the combine, last I heard was 180

project at least 5 more pounds of muscle in an NFL weight room I think he can handle it without losing quickness.
