WR Speculation

I think Canty and Tank will be had for a market value.

I know the Cowboys want Canty and Canty wants to be a Cowboy so when 2 sides want something done it usually gets done.

Colombo and Tank both kind of owe us something. We gave both a chance and now look at them.

Columbo will be back. He'll be expensive. But he'll be back.

Tank is the fringe guy. I dont know how he feels about this franchise or anything and how much loyalty he would show us. But from watching Hard Knocks he seems like a happy solider in BIG D.

Right now "market value" for defensive lineman is ridiculously high. What did Tommie Kelly get? Like $50 mil? For a somewhat no-name?

Make no mistake Canty, Tany and Colombo... It's going to cost some big $$.

Well they have to produce in order to get paid and right now they aren't producing.

I don't disagree with that DaB.

And right now there are rumblings of TO being unhappy with only 2 catches over the last 6 quarters...

Yeah, bring in another guy to threaten TO's somewhat fragile psyche and see what happens.

TO is TO, he's a great receiver but when he's on your team you have to take the good with the bad.

The salary cap doesn't allow for incredible depth at each and every position-- It just doesn't work that way.

Colombo
Tank Johnson
Canty

This team is going to be facing some additional very expensive contracts in the offseason.

You just can't keep tossing huge contracts out there to shore up every position on the team. This team had to spend huge dollars to get Leonard Davis because it failed to develop offensive lineman.

I think that a TO replacement is probably going to have to come through the draft.

On a side note, TO is signed for several more seasons. I doubt he retires before the end of the 2009 season.

This team has time to develop another WR or two. No sense pushing the $$ panic button at this point.

I don't know if you should take :espn: word as gospel. I don't see how TO has a fragile psyche but I guess we are all entitled to our own opinion
