There is such a thing as adrenalin speed. Some people call it fear speed. I don't ever remember Jerry Rice being run down by anyone not named Darrell Green. Cooper Cupp is a 4.6 guy. Jerry Rice was a wire to wire wide receiver.

Deandre Hopkins is one of the greatest deep threats in nfl history, and he ran a 4.57, which is borderline below average in today’s nfl.

The OP is calling for a slot maestro, and no one has ever been better than Welker, who averaged(!) 112 catches over a 6 years span, and ran a 4.65.

The better football player will come out on top. And the guys available right now are not close to what Dallas has at the top of their roster… It’s as easy as that

That would be nice. But I think speed at WR is more of a luxury at the pro level. These DBs are fast too, and they can keep the play in front of them if they choose to do so. There's more to getting deep than just pure speed. I keep seeing Gallup get out in front, and I don't think he's that fast.

But if you can combine the two, like Cooper Kupp running a 4.3, now you really have something.
