Anyone besides me going to be in the theaters the week after TDK to see the new X-Files movie? I used to absolutely love this show, and from what I gather, they have ditched the expansive and sometimes ridiculous alien invasion story-arc for a more conventional horror feature. From what I know, the leads are back, the main writers are back and the budget for the film and the marketing was relatively small. Anyone still interested in this? I'll be there. Probably not the first day, but within the first week of its release with out a doubt.

Love the X-Files.

Will definitely be seeing it.

I hope it doesn't suck. I used to watch the Simpsons all the time and that movie sucked. It seems like the world has run out of ideas for good movies. I'll probably just wait till it's on tv. In the meantime which movie should i watch, Point Break or Bad Boys 2?

I liked hot fuzz, not as much as Saun of the Dead, but still pretty good.

I never really watched the show.... saw a bunch of episodes in syndication much later on.... saw the first movie on cable a while back....

I liked it... I really dig Scully :D (I dont like her new look though)

Yes. I will go to see "I WANT TO BELIEVE"

Really? Based on that one picture? I don't think she looks drop dead sexy or anything like that in that photo, but she hardly looks like yuk. You got some high standards there my friend. Good for you.

No no... lol.

I just really like the way the short hair looked on her.... it aint that serious. I have seen the "new" look in a few photos and in the trailer... just not my thing.

Scully looks hot .....

Damn kids with your music television ...... :D

Bought Season 3 of the X-Files and rewatching those episodes again was a real treat. Can't wait for the film.

I was always a bigger fan of the ongoing "conspiracy" episodes than the random "wierd ****" episodes. The first movie was pretty good, but its' been so long, I'm not sure I'm up for this one. Might be a rental for me.

The Simpsons has been outclassed by its competitors for years now. I thought the movie was far and away better than anything they've put on TV in the last ten years.

...and I think the question your really trying to ask is which one are you going to watch FIRST.

I loved SOTD. Hot fuzz was more like Hot Garbage.

I agree on X-Files. The continued conspiracy arc was kind of interesting, all the other filler shows I could do without. Makes me ho-hum about the movie. Not that I was ever gung ho on X-Files, but I did like the first movie and watched some of the series after that.

Disagree on Simpsons. While I don't really think they're that great on TV anymore, I thought the movie was a bunch of treetarded hippy garbage that couldn't even be original enough to not steal half it's plot from one of it's shows from the previous season.

SotD and Hot Fuzz are both average overrated movies. Sometimes funny, sometimes not.

Yea, I screwed up the title, so sue me. It was 3am and I was 8 beers deep. :laugh2:

I also liked the mythology, to comment on what a bunch of you were saying, but it got way to unyielding. There were atleast 3 different types of black oil that I know of, that kind of thing will turn an average movie goer off. Im going to see it because of Mulder and Scully, the way they used to interact was classic, and I dont get that sort of personal interplay from most of the stuff thats out there now.

Holy Christ, if you want to know how Scully is looking these days, check out the new shoot from the UK version of Esquire.

I saw this movie this afternoon. Its not great, but I think its certainly better than the reviews have said it is. If you liked the show, you will like this movie.
