I have a friend that works as a Lions beat writer and when Marinelli first took over it was known that he didn't really care much for Rogers because he didn't fit that really quick D-Lineman that Marinelli covets. Marinelli was lukewarm on Rogers from the beginning.

Maybe, but from what read and seen, Rogers was wearing out his welcome before Marinelli came, so not sure that that is news that Marinelli never liked him.

Again, if you read about Marinelli and his philosophy or what he wants lions to do, Shaun was almost exact opposite. Great one play and then be a bust next play. Even when Mariucci was there, there were plenty of trade talks about shipping out Shuan.

Anyway, talk to any UT Guy or Lions fan, they will tell you Shuan was plenty quick enough. He is just a lazy guy and never in good condition.
