??????????????????????????? Did you watch the same season I did? Did you see the constant false starts by our o-line, especially in the first 8 or 9 games? Every one of those teams clearly had better o-lines in their Super Bowl years than we had this season.

Those teams didn't have better olines. Giants had an awful running game all year last year, they did improve pass protection over the course of the year kind of the same way Dallas did this year.

Pittsburgh 2008- Max Starks-Chris Kemoeatu-Justin Hartwig-Darnell Stapleton-Willie Colon....THAT was there oline. Brutal. Ask any Steeler fan and they still shake their head.

Green Bay's oline has been far worse than Dallas over the last three years.

You cherry picked your stats from PP, don't know why you deny that. The OL isn't good cause they finished the season well just like those safeties weren't good either, the OL still needs to be improved upon.

This team needs alot of improvement and its bout time that all these 'sides' realize that its not just one thing we need. We need OL, DL, and S and there is no particular order of the need cause none are premium positions other than pass rusher. Now if you want a pass rusher you have to take it early, but the other positions aren't hard to find later.

The Steelers did make a high pick there in 2010 and 2012, 18th and 24th respectively....and they missed the playoffs this year for the first time in years.

I rebutted your statement we needed to get rid of Gerald Sensabaugh to generate more turnovers by pointing on that in the 8 games PP was in charge of the defense he generated 20 turnovers with Sensabaugh and Ball at safety.

As for your favorite PP stat, guess you are having an affair with the guy you bring it up so much. Before and since that span they have done absolutely nothing, but during that span they did well. Maybe you should go hire PP back from UConn to fulfill your fetish for 8 games 2 years ago, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the position needs talent just like I'm not saying that the last few games for the OL means we don't need talent on the OL.

Its not hard to see really, both positions along with pass rusher need talent.

Jerruh went cheap on the offensive line. In part as he doesn't traditionally spend the resources on the offensive line and possibly because of his salary cap blunder that caused the league to penalize the Cowboys with a big cap hit. Instead of Grubbs or another good guard they went with two mediocre ones and the results were pressure up the middle all season on Romo.

You might want to look back at the recent Super Bowl teams and find out how they built there olines and how long it took for the few "good" ones to gel before they became good.

Green Bay, Pitt and even the Giants Super Bowl teams had what was considered weak olines. The Giants were dead last in running the ball last year.

You know what wins?? Passing the ball efficiently on offense, pressure on the opposing QB, defending the pass and being somewhat decent at stopping the run.

To me passing efficiency speaks to accuracy and not throwing the ball to the other team.

You can keep arguing against the facts, but the bottom line is those three teams have won a bunch of Super Bowls over the last decade. The common threads between them is that they haven't spent a ton of high picks/FA$ on olineman especially guards, but they did on the pass rush.

You want to win in the NFL, get a pass rush and throw the ball accurately to your team when you need to. If Romo can't do it, find someone who can. Big Ben, Eli and Rodgers had no better olines and they were able to in years they won the Super Bowl.

Again, not saying ignore the oline. I'm ok with one in the first three rounds or one in FA, but as the original post suggests, do not spend your entire wad trying to solve one issue on a team with many others to worry about.
