Sophomores will start to take over as notes by GofP...add in Brown, possibly Tapper (too bad Rico isn't playing for those of you believing he is the "next coming...")

I'm with you. Zeke will run by McAdoo a lot in this game. I don't think he'll enjoy all the nice big holes that Zeke runs through as much as I will. But you're right, Dak has a lot of guys to throw to and that includes #21 as well. I'm getting so excited for Sunday night

I'm ready but I'm worried about our defense.
I'm actually more excited than ever about our defense. We've spent so many picks on that side of the ball over the past few years. They're young, hungry, and out to prove themselves. When it's all said & done this year, that side of the ball may turn out to be just as much of a strength as the offense.

If the defense is as much of a strength as the offense then we're gonna be very tough to beat.

16-0 baby here we go!
Realistically, with Zeke back on the field where be belongs after enduring some blatant keystone copping, I see us finishing 12-4 and going very deep into the playoffs. Our defense is going to have the opportunity to gel in lower than usual pressure situations because the offense is going to be blazing trails and creating leads. By the end of the season, that defense is going to be STOUT!

Yes I think the defense will be much improved this season but I don't know if we'll see it in game 1.

Hope you are right. To me, it ALL comes down to the D.Ends and LB's. Can they create a pass rush? Our interior is SOLID with Collins. Paeia(SP?), etc... I also don't think our DB's will be too bad. BUT....D.Ends and LB's have to get some pressure. Mayowa is huge and needs to come through the first 4 games. We just need to go 2-2 frankly. 3-1 would be awesome but 2-2 would suffice until reinforcements come in game 5.

Speaking of D.Ends.....I know RG is out all regular season, but if we make the playoffs would he be eligible? My understanding is that he would not. TIA

Great post as usual x. They are young AND a couple rookies have been banged up. Not a recipe for early season success.

Awuzie and Lewis are #4 and #5 on the CB depth chart so that shouldn't be a big problem.

Jaylon starting at MLB is a bit concerning. He didn't play a lot of snaps in the preseason and nobody really knows how much his nerve still affects him.

Heath is new as a starter but has been here about 5 years.

The starting DL will likely be experienced:
Dlaw
Paea
Collins
Crawford

Backup DL a bit young or new to scheme:
Mayowa - Vet
Price - New to scheme
Taco -Rookie
Tapper - Pseudo rookie.
Elliott - Will he play DE?

I guess Crawford functions as the 4th DT.
