I will be more than happy to eat crow if I'm wrong but I have a feeling Jerry is waiting to hire Ron Rivera. I talked to my "sources" and all 4 of them said they think Jerry is leaning toward Rivera. I asked them about Jason and they said Jerry is interested in hiring him as OC but not as a head coach.

I don't think Jerry is as stupid as lot of us think. I don't think he is going to hire Bum Phillips or anyone else like that. Give Jerry credit, the new coach will be Ron Rivera.

If he's already leaning towards Rivera without actually interviewing him in depth, along with the fact that he hasn't worked with him before, then he is every bit as dumb as everyone thinks.

If it ends up being Rivera after extensive interviews, that's fine, but JJ shouldn't be leaning towards anyone unless it's someone he's already worked with...otherwise, he's just jumping at names like fans do.

Sounds like he already had a plan in place that would work with the 3-4 or 4-3 and the offense.

But I do have teh interweb and tv, and teh tv tonight reported that this might be a 2-3 week process. If that's the case, then the SB will be over and Lovie, or more likely, Rivera will be talked to.

The longer this goes, the better chance we get someone decent instead of a Phillips or Turner or worse.

It's only a matter of time my friends. Rivera will be our next head coach. I know everyone was saying that Norv Turner was going to be hired this week or that Garret was going to be the next coach. Neither happened.

Years ago, I posted that Jerry was going to hire Parcells and people thought I was on crack becaue there was no way a guy like Jerry would hire a control freak like Parcells

My sources are legitimate. These were also the same people that told me Parcells was going to retire at the end of the season if they lost in the first round. I posted that thread months ago. I don't mind being called a nutcase but thus far I have been right. There has been no disputing that.

Again, do you guys think Jerry is that dumb. He is leaning toward Rivera which is why he is waiting. Essentially, the Superbowl is Rivera's interview. Unless Manning lights up the Bears D, you can count on Ron Rivera being our next coach.
